Will mention this a final time. They were hired for the network because they are journalists. They might pivot into ANOTHER journalism job or their own platform, but Youtube audience is not really where their natural fan base would be.
The minor celebs you mentioned have youth audiences and are primarily entertainers.
That article he referenced shed some light on a few things I didn't know such as the lawsuits they were facing and how much flak they were getting for bringing weirdo's like Coleman Hughes on.

They have a full on production. I worked besides sone of them people before. Wouldn’t make sense to be out here trying to do a YouTube newscast with all that if they don’t bring in a profit. That’ll be way worse than what actually happened to them.

They would need ad revenue and other ways to bring in money. I mean I think they did too much too early. I just don’t know what they could do to make people watch that they didn’t already do outside of being available on a more accessible station. Streaming is supposed to be the future, well they were on streaming and people still didn’t watch. I don’t know what else they can do

Lol I disagree man. Umar isn’t any worse than Fox News. In fact, I would say he shares more factual information. And the few times he was on BNC, he didn’t really say anything outlandish.
I realized starting and owning a network was not worth the headache when Oprah sold majority of OWN as soon as she could. She finally got a few “hits” with Queen Sugar and a couple of Tyler Perry shows and got out
That's not going to get you far in the news realm breh. I don't think you realize how expensive it costs to own and operate a network. They were fighting a losing battle from the start.
