People at work, school family etc all report a guy who looks like the shooter missing conveniently after the shooting. You won't get far. Most people dont have the money to either to just go to another country and hide out. That would take cash, bribes, getting a new identification etc. All risky.

Those pics were clear enough that someone would recognize him and likely had already tipped off the fbi. They likely already contacted the dad asking questions which probably prompted the confession. Beside the father would recognize his son in the pics too.

The dad would be charged as an accomplise if he did anything to help him. Kid was cooked either way.

These type of stories bring out the absolute biggest idiots and conspiracy theorists around.

There are cameras everywhere nowadays, especially with having Ring cameras and similar types on homes.

And, like you said, people will recognize a friend/family member/co-worker that looks like the shooter and magically went missing that day. These people are idiots..
