People spend more time clowning her than supporting her. How is that Beyoncé’s fault?
This! The only thing Beyonce did wrong was select surprise as a single instead of solo for the night.

The rest is because Chloe’s bubbly warm and nerdy personality is not matching up with her casual sex hyper sexual girl lyrics and videos. She tries to make music like a rapper with a bunch of cursing and hyper sexual images lyrics and bird nonsense but her original fanbase and people who actually support her don’t want to hear that. We wanted pop/r&b Chloe, warm bubbly cute Chloe. Clever flirty lyrics, not chair humping, dark images and fck n word this and that, you’re not mine but I still want to fck type lyrics. We don’t like that and nobody believes the hyper sexuality. Which she doesn’t understand has been proven faked/forced when she shared she was uncomfortable with the sex scene and she hasn’t had many partners. She needs a cohesive image and music but it seems not to be clicking for her.

Beyonce is queen narcissist. bytch literally rides her own dikk like her fakkit ass husband.
And people gotta remember, Beyonce stay on that Highlander there can only be one ish. If she was open to the concept of having more competition with the other r&b artists then I don't think this conversation is had.

Said it in the other thread, Beyonce cosign was way too early.

Giving the mantle of a "queen" to 15 year olds who don't even know who they are yet was a miscalculation.**

In contrast, H.E.R and Normani were already grown women at the time and figured out who they were (acknowledging we never stop growing/learning of course).

**That said, maybe Beyonce did know what she was doing: you split the mantle and that makes less competition vs one single, younger star coming for your spot.
N-gga Normani hasn't popped like that neither

Beyonce isn’t her manager. She don’t owe her anything. Just being ASSOCIATED with Beyonce is what helped get both Chloe and Halle in the door in the first place. They’re albums as a duo never charted high, even though they were critically acclaimed. They pivoted into acting and, in my opinion, both did a good job on Grownish and THATS where both of they’re futures are. Chloe has FOUR movies coming out this year and Halle has the Little Mermaid live action film.

A tweet from Beyonce doesn’t do much of anything. Chloe either gonna fly or fail on her own. She misjudged the market in my opinion. Thot & B is already cornered by Summer Walker, SZA, and to a lessor extent Ari Lennox. Chloe should have been trying to go the Whitney Houston route or the black Taylor Swift route.

Zendaya realized her acting career had more of a future and never looked back. I don't know if she ever cared about music to begin with, but she didn't waste time trying to figure out which route to take.

I don't think it's over for Chloe as an artist. But if she's going to succeed, she has to have the same mindset she had with Halle. Their last album was critically acclaimed and she was heavily involved in the writing/production. She just went for a sound that doesn't fit her. People don't know her yet. I don't think she even knows herself yet. The fact that casual listeners can see that means she should go back to what was working. Like @thaKEAF said, when Beyonce and Justin went solo, they were already big names and they knew exactly what they wanted to do with their music. Chloe needs more time in the oven before she gets to that point.

You are right about the Whitney Houston route, even the Janet Jackson blueprint would fit better. But the issue is this generation of artists aren’t capable of making timeless love ballads or even genre defining pop music. Its like asking BLM to be more like the black civil rights movement of the 60s and 70s.
That type of inspiration and feeling won’t ever be recaptured.

SZA and Summer are popular but the music is absolutely nonsensical when read aloud.

:mjlol: How aren’t Beyoncé promoting her? How do you think she’s getting theses highly produced videos, TV appearances, shows, and production. Because of Beyoncé lol yall can’t blame B. For ol girl not having a fan base. What would’ve change if B tweeted out her album? Truth be told B is doing the same thing. That Jay did to Cole early in his career. By giving Cole all the tools he needed to succeed. Y’all remember back then when people. Was saying that Jay wasn’t promoting Cole lol. Same thing but the difference is that Cole. Formed a loyal fan base, and Chloe haven’t. Black twitter build Ol girl up just to tear her down. At this point anything Chloe does. Black twitter will have a problem with it. They’re just straight up bullying her now.

/Thread. Nobody belives her and in fact, I believe she doesn't even believe what she is singing and rapping about and it comes thru in her singing. It's like she is following the trends and it is failing for her.

It would be like Cardi B doing a gospel album smh...it doesn't fit and the music market has spoken.

Conviction in one's self is what will get her over. The GnD/Aaliyah/TLC template is the vibe she can roll with, no playing the throat goat...

Right

Her label Parwood is Bey and they keep Chloe visible despite the lack of hits...plus she and her sister opened for B her last couple tours

If Chloe wins that's a win for Parkwood and more money for B

Girl just needs hits

Songwriters, producers, and management need to all be on the some page, create a cohesive image.

TBH...Pop is her lane with a little street edge to her. R&B/Trap ain't work for her, it is like someone's kid sister is singing and she supposed to be the main star.

Distro and advertising alone should have had her hit big...

10k is great for an indie or unknown...

Not for a major artist under any circumstances...
