This

None of this would be happening if people had voted correctly.

Whole point of last year was to not get Trump back in office so we wouldn’t be dealing with any of this PERIOD.

Dude was the last person on earth to vote for or to allow his stinky ass back into the White House…

But here we are. Stupid is as stupid does. We could’ve had a normal America at the very least, with people doing “business” how they normally went about it.

But no… people love to be stupid and difficult here. So suck it up, it was either SNAP or ACA credits and I guess they’re trying to find a medium FOR you people..

They're so irritating. We begged these goofies to vote for the lesser evil. Begged these goofies. But no, Gaza Gaza Gaza.

Now you have one of the most corrupt men you could possibly have in power. I have no patience for these morons. You should have thought about all of this LAST YEAR when we were screaming at people to vote for Kamala. I think ACA credits are more important personally. People will not be able to afford their healthcare costs, doubling or tripling. But I have sympathy for the Dems. They're in a fukked up position. Either they let people starve or they fight for their medication costs. ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED!!!!!!!!!!!!! :snoop:

I completely agree, but we here now. We have to get those credits.

You gotta pick your poison then. Because people are going to be screaming at you either way (pretending we're the politicians here).

Either screaming at you because they can't afford food, or screaming at you in 5 months when they can't afford their medication.

I believe Republicans would get it the worst since they have the power and people are very clearly rejecting them at the polls. I don't want people going through hardships, but I feel they are giving no choice.

Need new leaders badly…

Tell the people to stop voting for them then, we need to stop avoiding the biggest issue in the room.

Yea…. We need people to definitely start voting for new people.

We also need people to stop being apathetic and stop “not voting” or thinking they making some type point burning votes on 3rd options (splitting the vote)

SNAP would automatically be funded by the government once it reopens, it's already included in the bill, along with the program's new work requirements.

I agree with you, but I think unfortunately, while fighting to protect the healthcare subsidies is important, food is just as important, if not more so, by quite a large margin, since a functioning human being needs food to survive.

Food Banks and pantries only go so far, you can't allow millions of people to stress whether they're going to have food to eat or not, and with all the back and forth wishy-washy shyt with Trump/SNAP benefits lately makes it where you can't continue to let people suffer in Trump's hands.

Something has to give, and Trump and the GOP clearly have no intentions of budging, as they're adamant about letting this shyt go on for months if need be, so having the shutdown to continue into next year isn't feasible.

Once the government opens up, SNAP will be funded and people will no longer have to anxiously sit around wondering if they're going to eat or not. If this is real and it goes through, then the Dems made a moral decision to save people from starving, even tho it will hurt certain people's healthcare. Something had to be done to end the suffering millions are going through at the hands of Trump and his administration.

Yes, the base will be disappointed, but shouldn't be too hard on them either, because it was a moral decision, you didn't cave for a BS reason but a legitimate one.
Dems have to message this well. It’s imperative. If they fukk it up, which I fear they will, all the good they gained is gone and they lose the house again next year.

That is the biggest problem and I do not know how you can fight such a level of stupidity, stupidity that thinking not voting is going to make the people you do not like do what you want, even though they won without you.

If more people supported good candidates in primaries and voted them in, we would not be in this mess.

If people do not vote or vote for Republicans after this (as if the other shyt before this was fine) then they deserve every piece of pain they get. Can't keep excusing gross stupidity and incompetence of the average American voting age citizen.

fukk no. The people can make third parties viable if they stop being scared little hoes about it and putting all their eggs in one basket with a snake in it.

Otherwise, thinking new Dems are gonna do right by us will just land us more candidates like Mamdani, who just plays footsie with white power/money where you can't see it.

I agree, if the Dems go ahead with this, they need to have a public announcement on TV for everyone to see and hear why they're coming to this decision.

Broadly point out the Trump administration and Republicans for their actions throughout this shutdown, causing SNAP delays, and healthcare cuts, premiums rising, etc and make it clear to the public.

A third party is not viable under the majority of circumstances for any major offices. It's a few Senate seats and a few Governorships where a third party can get elected lol. A third party works well for some of the smaller state offices though.
