The problem that Netflix just created is that now they're going to have to keep that same consistency the next time this exact situation comes up with a different comedian and not cave into public pressure or risk looking like hypocrites.

THEY DONT HAVE TO
WORRY ABOUT THIS
BECAUSE NO OTHER MAINSTREAM
COMEDIAN TOUCHES THE LGTB ANYMORE.

DAVE KNOWS HES THAT DUDE
AND THE ONLY ONE WHO
ISNT AFRAID OF CANCEL CULTURE.

Netflix smart not to follow these fukking gay community.

Netflix didn't want to piss a lot of comedians who got love for Dave Chappelle. Dave already did trans bits in his previous 4 stand up comedy and why wanna remove him now? and it his last stand up comedy anyway.
they don't give a damn about shyt but business

don't congratulate them for that. this isn't some moral stance. they know the power Dave wields himself as much as the LBGTQ has some of their own.

let's not forget this man already squared up and faded HBO this year alone all with his words.

People in this thread are literally making more out of Netflix's response than it has to be :laff:

This is literally just a business move in Netflix protecting their investment. It's nothing more than that. This isn't going to be the norm going forward I can promise you that as every comedian isn't Dave Chapelle or drive in the viewership that he does.

Thinking that Netflix is finally taking a stand against that community is laughable as hell. Money talks.

The biggest takeaway is that the trans workers at netflix was spazzing and the main one who was the shwrunner behind dear white people got suspended for the bullshyt :heh:

You are being naive breh.

You need to look at things from a companies perspective. It is about control and stability.

Do you really think they will sit back and watch ordinary employees try to flex by leveraging their community and social media against them?

They commissioned Chappelle to do a series of specials. They would have given the green light for the material because it is a direction they're happy to head in.

Not everyone would have the clout to do what David did. That's one of the reasons why they're paying him some much money.

Just boils down to common sense. You pay someone to star in a TV series, but then you have to recast because some mob on twitter dug up old tweets or a member of staff labelled them a problematic boss.

It creates too much inconsistency and surrenders too much control to outsiders.

The shyt you're talking about has nothing to do with the topic at hand as it's a completely different situation :mjlol:

Netflix has a business and working relationship with Dave. They are trying to protect their investment because of the money that he brings in. It's nothing more than that.

Money talks and that's why I said that Netflix just created a problem as they are not going to take this particular stance everytime this situation comes up. You're naive if you think so.

They proved his point. All they doing is pushing people towards the point of not giving a fukk about them at all. Like, it’s okay to laugh about crack babies selling drugs and a black man who’s in the KKK but trannies is a step too far.

Okay.

Netflix just doesn't want to ruin the business relationship with Dave by removing the special from Netflix and miss on the viewership that he brings in. If it was a lesser comedian, then it would have already been pulled by now with an apology.

This is strictly a business move and people shouldn't make more of it as it's not going to apply to everyone with a Netflix special going forward.
It’s ain’t no way they would think about pulling it. No way in hell
