Societal laws are NOT the only reason I think it's wrong. I think it's inherently wrong for a 9 or 10 year old girl to be involved in any of that stuff but equally, I cannot deny that my outlook on this is somewhat shaped by growing up in today's society. Again, if you literally live in a time where everyone thinks it's ok, can you honestly 100% say you'd see it differently to everyone else? You somehow had a beacon that set off different to everyone else in society telling you this is right/wrong? I'm just being realistic given the circumstances.

I recommend you read this article which explains the marriage in more depth and the ways, customs and practices of Arabia at the time, which mind you, in some ways, were NO different to what happened in Europe etc. Then come back and tell me what you think.

The religion strictly does not permit for marriage unless it occurs between two consenting adults capable of consent. Clearly, the age requirements were defined differently back then. Also, I've been arguing the worst-case scenario in assuming Aisha was 9 or 10. There's no conclusive evidence on this front. She could have been 19.

None of the above in the Prophet's case. Aisha's family wanted them to get married, particularly soon after the passing of Muhammad's first wife.
