Giants fans are only mad because of Elis streak and the fact they were benching him for a black qb

Alot of them were proud of the fact that they never started a black qb

so 2 of their beloved streaks came to end because of this benching

I figured it was on some shyt but them being mad about the streak when he's 2nd, past his brother, and never was catching Favre is dumb as shyt

But why?

I get he won them rings but he's 37 and the team is trash. If Pittsburgh went in the tank and Ben got pulled I doubt Steeler fans would be this upset. Is it really that serious?

It mostly comes down to how awful they handled it (Mara didn't even talk to him until after it was dealt with publicly) and who they let handle it. Ben McAdoo was () the most reviled HC I've possibly ever seen and he clearly had some type of weird personal vendetta against Eli for not having Aaron Rodgers' skill set.

Plus I don't think Ben is quite as loved by teammates as Eli is and it's the guys who Eli used to play with who really blew this up. Giants' legends were going ham on the team and got the fans even more angry, the media spinning even harder.
