I think that works. I don’t think IQ is a pure playmaking guard anyway, he probably fits quite well with a wing that has the ball in his hands a ton

From the little bit of the Knicks game I've seen, he seemed to be solid. OG is overrated to me.
Not a casual, just not a Knicks fan. I don't think OG is any better than RJ. They're somewhat equal which is why this trade isn't a game changer for Knicks outside of cleared cap space that'll likely be wasted since the owner is notorious for self sabotaging the Knicks.

How much does this trade improves the Knicks (what I'd hoped to assume) championship aspirations or at the very least be looked at as an actual contender and not just fodder for teams like Boston, Milwaukee, Philly, and (to a certain extent) Miami to run through come playoff time?

OG is there to guard the other teams best wing and shoot 3's efficiently. RJ couldn't do that

I think all eyes are on Cleveland to see if they sink in the standings with Garland and Mobley injured. They do have a cake schedule coming up so they should stay in the mix but if they falter or Mitchell goes down for any period of time, the sharks are gonna circle.

This doesn't really move the needle for them, unless the belief is that they can attract a star or superstar with the cleared cap space but we all know the Knicks owner gonna self sabotage that like he did with KD and Kyrie and a few other free agency stars of the past.
