The fact that the Supreme Court is operating on party lines is wild in and of its self.

Anyway this is just going to backfire on Biden sadly since its inder his watch and the avg. American voter is not fully aware of the political process. (Not saying I'm an expert but some the posts I've read on here and other sites got me :mindblown: :dahell: ).

And when the GOP wins the midterms, you can kiss you're protections goodbye :manny:

This is how you get black kids with elevated level of lead, other toxic substances and being sickened by pollution. People living in poor areas will suffer the brunt of this and its shameful. They will make it virtually impossible to regulate gases and have any real impact on climate change.

Better enjoy the time you have left, climate change is irreversible, we’ve reached already hit the point of no return
I see you're pretty red pilled on this. You're right climate change is here and it may cause the collapse of civilization as we know it. However rapidly reducing our emissions now could make the difference between a gradual decline in our standards of living or just outright extinction. We should still fight for a cleaner environment. We owe it to our children. It should be in all of our best interest to reduce the suffering of all beings and not just throwing our hands up and becoming nihilistic. That's exactly what these oil companies want us to do.

:dahell:The President does not micromanage them. Obviously he can direct them, but the agencies (bureaus) were created to they can enforce regulations and assign the appropriate workforce to deal with the many thousands of issues daily rather than leaving it up to the states to fumble with. Leaving it to the states literally means following thousands of different rules in potentially 50 different ways. Agencies coordinate at the top and state regulators don't bloat and go their own way. Its not "Too much power" by any means.

Half the regulations on the books are just make-work rules that do nothing to protect anything.

Technological progress has a better track record of addressing this issue than regulation. We are on the cusp of completely revolutionary green energy innovations. States rights are a thing and should be respected.

If you disagree, tough shyt. TheColi is not in power and doesn’t make the rules or call the shots.

Now get back to talking about PAWGs :mjlol:

They sounded the alarm about population crashes since the 1800s malthusians. Hasn’t happened. Why? One word: Innovation.

Pure hysteria. We are fast turning away from fossil fuels.

US-EV-Sales-Forecast-2019-2028.png

Do you know:

  1. How much pollution goes into EV's?
  2. How much pollution goes into powering the grid that charges EV's?
  3. How much pollution there is when destroying EV's?
Electric vehicles are not a silver bullet. There's arguably no net positive for EV's because this country won't switch to nuclear power or invest in renewables like they should.

Meanwhile, China terraforming with the largest forest planting project underway on the planet.

500 million people every year have planted trees because the government is giving them money to do so and they can even start their own business from it.

Using capitalism incentivize a cleaner country:

Technically, this whole large scale tree planting project is divided into three phases. First phase is for preventing further desertification in the northern border, second phase is to use forests to gradually alter the dry climate of northern areas, and only in the third phase will they finally start to plant multiple species of tree. Right now China is only at the first phase, and in desert climate majority of the tree species can barely take roots, let alone surviving long enough to grow to a proper size. There are very few tree species that are suitable for this job, and that's why the Chinese government decided to not put "multi-species" as its priority but rather the area coverage.

From a few years ago, looks like they were right:

While I don’t like China for various reasons, they are probably one of the only super powers I have seen that is collectively thinking long term. The only people that probably think long term in the west are doomsday and bunker people but even their short sighted.
