The thing is compared to the past, cameras now catch who is really instigating what.

Those kids getting to know recording shyt can be used against you if you going to post it for clout.

Kids acting like they can record them harrassing the teacher and the teacher going to get in trouble because "They're only kids!" :mjlol:

You going to learn about accountability in school, not entitlement outchea :mjlit:

This may be an unpopular opinion, but whatever:

If you're going to stoop to a child's level, fight them like they're a peer, argue with them like they're your peers, you don't get the right to complain about "disrespect" from young folks towards you. Because if you're not carrying yourself as a respectable figure, what makes you entitled to respect?

That doesn’t work, breh.
Teens are in their rebellious stage, they’re willing to argue and disrespect over nothing, 10x more so when they have no good parental guidance.
People have to correct their children’s behavior instead of dropping them off on underpaid/overworked teachers.

Lotta truth in this post. I agree. Parents need to be the ones to instill respect in their kids AND act in a respectable manner. A lot want to do the former, but ignore the latter and wonder why their kids act out against authority figures.

My brother in law wife just quit her job as a teacher in NYC. Said between the ridiculous bureaucracy and the expectations they place on her (using her own money for supplies, etc.) burned her out and she's only 29.

Her main issue was that no matter how much she tried to teach the kids (5th graders), if parents at home were not making sure the kids practiced what they were taught during the day, it would all go through one ear and out the other.

You can't be a teacher and a parent in a 7 hour day, it's impossible. Granted, some people work mad hours to make ends meet and probably are unable to sit with their children in the evening. The system is broken.

Man, I wasn’t a bad child but even still just the thought of my dad showing up to the office in his work clothes, mad as hell, to have to deal with some bullshyt because his son was acting out in class… hell nah. Dude would’ve dropped me off on an old country road and made me find my way back home.

I’m surprised there are any teachers left to be honest. It’s such a thankless job, dealing with low pay and tons of bullshyt from all directions.
Imagine the students that love your brother-in-law’s wife, that now have to miss out on a good teacher that could’ve helped spark something great in them.
This country is so ass backwards, man.

My brother in law said she would come home crying (literally in tears) at least once a week. I was like wtf!

Mind you, she's been great with my kids, especially my daughter. She works her ass off, but she just got burnt out.

I told the story before on here about how my dad showed up cause I was clowning in school (always running my mouth and joking) and slapped the taste smooth out my mouth.

I know my experience isn't the usual experience tho :yeshrug:

Why you think it's a shortage? :heh:

Bad enough they've always been underpaid. Plus dealing with these little b*stards now a days it aint worth it.

Also toss in the new wave of parents.

The parents from my generation sided with the teachers when kids got in trouble. This new wave of parents are trying to get teachers fired if you even give them a 'C'
