breh casey is a carlisle disciple. he said casey was the best assistant he's ever had. he got the pistons to the playoffs in his 1st year. he should have had an opportunity to coach KL. w/ derozan toronto probably loses to philly and definitely loses to the bucks...then what are people saying about Nurse?

Pistons need to fire Casey too since he's refusing to play some of the younger guys

He's done a good job developing some of the young guys like Svi and Christian Wood. Even Thon has shown flashes of brilliance under Casey. He's starting to play Sekou more. But yeah, he's still stubborn as ever when it comes to his rotations. There's a reason every Toronto fan was fine with letting him go.

Gotta admit I was wrong. Nurse is clearly coaching his ass off. I still say having Derozan vs Kawhi hurt Casey more than any of his coaching decisions and I think the Raptors could have won last year with Casey. But what Nurse has done this year without Kahwi and with the injuries. You gotta respect it. He should be the clear cut Coach of the Year.
They were 17-5 without kawhi last year. Everything about their team changed with Nurse as head coach.

He still is refusing to start wood. Theyre going to lose Wood for sure

Hes fukkn Sekou's development up...inconsistent minutes.Casey is the worst thing for a young player like that who doesnt fit in a traditional box.

If Casey was proactive he would have been playing Doumbouya and Wood more mins from the outset...instead he was stapling them to the bench in order to give his middling mediocre vets minutes and lead them to a 16-35 record....Casey absolutely stinks with young players and development.

Siakam didnt start playing real meaningful mins without training wheels and developing til after he left...and Sekou will do the same...

They also came dangerously close to going down 0-2 in the first round and 0-3 against MIL last year. A bounce or two here or there and they dont even make it to the finals. What's happening this year is proving that last year wasn't a fluke/all about Kawhi..

Did you watch game 3,it wasnt a bounce that decided the game.....Raps were in control most of the game, took control of the game in OT and 2OT and won,if anything we made it closer by missing shots....Only game or series decided by a bounce was 2nd round game 7.....

ECF games 3-6 were all decisive victories.
