If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
That's not really true. Looks like he had enough momentum to keep moving forward with his arms and then he stopped and couldn't stay afloat with his just his arms. Or he made it out that far and got tired and/or panicked.

What do y’all mean by momentum in the context of water when he made it 3/4ths of the way? You can’t use your momentum to travel that FAR in water. Even prime Michael Phelps with a huge wall kick already IN water cannot travel 3/4ths of that pond with momentum. Besides that, water absorbs most of the energy from the initial dive/jump into the water. He could swim (some). He just wasn’t a strong swimmer, tired, fatigued, panicked, and drowned.

This is wrong.

I've been in aquatics my entire life. I sail. I'm a rower. Training for a triathlon. Been swimming since I was a child with professional lessons. There are some people that are negative buoyant. You adjust your technique to compensate but that doesn't change the fact.
Hey Breh, as a early 30's bro who can't swim. How hard do you think'd it be for me to learn and how long would it take?

As long as he was moving forward he stayed afloat. I bet he stopped to catch his breath and when he couldn't feel the bottom he panicked. Obviously he couldn't tread water, and he couldn't go forward again without pushing off the pond floor. It's why treading water is more important than swimming.....IMHO

Swimming isn't hard to learn, the biggest problem is people's fear of the water. Once you get comfortable and understand, you can pick it up pretty quickly.

My 4 year old was scared, etc. :wow::wow: at 5 she is out here swimming pool lengths, doing flip turns.

Swimming is so important to know, cause you NEVER know when you in a spot and will have to save yourself.

I assume that he would.

Once on his back, all he basically would've had to do was make jumping jack motions n he would've made it to the other side.

The biggest thing would be to not panic n make a plan of action.
Oh I see, I wouldn't know. I really have to learn how to swim :jbhmm:

That will be my biggest challenge in terms of getting over fear of water. I lost a few friends to drowning when I was a youngin and said I'd never get into water. I think it's time I learn though.

Shouldn't have been in there in the first place.

Like what was the purpose of the bet? If he didn't succeed, he would die. The fukked up thing is they didn't think he could do it which means they should have stopped him from doing that shyt.

No care for the consequences.
Brother offered to buy him a car. Dumb bet not worth your life :snoop:
