There is nothing wrong with improving yourself for women. It must not be the sole reason, but it's must be among the reasons. Trying to "acquire" women is as natural for men as the need to acquire food. A lot of the things we do, we do it for women, whether we want to admit it or not. Women are a powerful drive.
However, don't let women become your master. That's the catch. Make them yours, don't let them make you theirs.
And as the homie said, you're building confidence. Some of us need it to get women, especially in the modern environment.

"working on you" is supposed to change your mentality. Give you a confidence that you actually project out. Women see how you are moving now, they can see what you're projecting...confidence, protection, "got-it-togetherness" and that is what makes them act differently toward you. Also, make sure you're actually picking up on the signs (not saying you aren't, but in general)
A lot of times with women, it's subtle. I mean, it can be be overt, but a lot of times they play the chase game. It's a look that's a second longer than normal, it's a sly smile, her positioning herself to be in your path/near you, turning to face you/look you in the eye, her asking a question for you to follow up and continue the convo. I mean, it can be anything. All I'm saying is make sure you pay attention to the small things. Keep what you're doing up, trust me, if you looking, you will find women who ARE receptive to what you throwing/projecting. Use the ones you don't like or don't want as practice. Talk to them, get comfy doing it, then it's a bit easier when you in front of the one you want/like.
If you're halfway decent looking, it shouldn't be THAT tough. Also, a lil key is, you tend to find what you want/are looking for when you actually STOP looking for/desiring it.
