It's not but as a travel nurse you can make 3k-7k a week. Only work 6 months out the year. And chill for the other 6 months
. But ya it's easily one of the most stressful jobs out there without question.

Seen a post on Reddit saying RNs start at 150k in Sacramento, any truth to this
Lies. They work Kaiser 4x16 and do float pool where you get floated. New grads start at 110k though. I know a nurse clearing 280k doing Kaiser and a virtual ICU gig. She makes close to 400k when she pushes it but her plan is to save up and go to CRNA

The average salary for travelers is 4-5k weekly on 48h. Still good money tbh.
Doing it for 8 months can net you about 80-120k a year. Not a bad deal at all.

Btw… Y’all are overstating their wages. I know several nurses and none of them make six figures. They’re making good money but they’re not making the money that you guys think. Additionally if you’re working a shyt ton of hours, you’ll make a lot of money with most jobs.

Not as bad as it sounds breh. There are intervals you don’t do squat tbh. Say you clock in at 8 AM. You pass meds at 10 AM and do your assessment on your patients and done with documentation. You good until 12 or 1 unless you have a very sick duo in the ICU. Then you have lunch and already ready to tackle the 1700 rush. By then you done with meds and turning, cleaning, and re-assessment which is just copy and paste and amending your note. At 8 PM you medicate and you’re good until midnight. By then you already on your 3rd break and chilling. When you come back next day, they try to give you the same team. It becomes easier since you know them and they know you. They feel more at ease and reassured by your care. I always like to strike convos and chill with my peeps. You don’t like the food, I got you. Tell me what you want and if it’s applicable, I’ll spend a few dollars to help you out. By that time, I’m on my laptop working on my virtual gigs and submitting reports.
Like everything in life make it work for you. Some doctors make 400k and some make 3 mil with the same degree and credentials. It’s just how you hustle.
