I agree with the innate star power piece but if the first part were true then they could make Kim Kardashian into a global music superstar and that's clearly not the case.
That's why I excluded Kim Kardashian because she's talentless talent but not on the level of Rihanna. Kardashian is a global star without the singing.

there's an artist in the Bay Area that an individual I know of was involved in trying to launch . . . almost a complete opposite of a situation - where as

"Young Thug" is a term that could be used as a connotation in the Atlanta gay communities (thug is a certain type of gay male)

the artist this individual in San Francisco tried to launch, in a very manufactured way, was called "(insert adjective here) Stud" - a term used for a certain type of gay female

. . so ya . . it can go either way but it wouldn't be unheard for someone to be given their name . . especially by the interests who seek to invest in the branding of said name
that's what I'm saying, it's so overtly generic to the point of absurdity like it's a joke or something but now noone even thinks twice about it. It's literally like a parody name of whatever like if people were sitting around thinking of the most stereotypical Rap names but it's real and actually worked

This is simple to explain. It's different eras that had different technology and a different music buying culture. Singles didn't sell very well in the past because it wasn't convenient to to buy one. There weren't many people willing to pay $2-$3 for a song on a disc/tape/record when they were just going to buy the album. Where as ever since iTunes came into the picture, it's more convenient to buy a single than it is an album. If you put Rihanna in that era she would have many more albums sold and many less singles sold. Madonna in this era would have sold less albums and more singles.

Tinashe just doesn't have that star quality. Looking good is half the battle. This world has an abundance of beautiful women trying to become stars.

This should be on a billboard

See what her star quality looks like after she's produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke

Well, that article is over 6 months old, I assume she's put out stuff since that article was released. So whatever they did together has been recorded already. We'll see.

Rihanna reigns atop Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart (dated June 27) for the 23rd time with "bytch Better Have My Money" (2-1). With her latest leader, she eclipsesBeyonce (22 No. 1s), who last topped the chart in February with "7/11." Rihanna now trails only Madonna (45) for the most No. 1s in the chart's nearly 39-year history, dating to its inception as a national survey in 1976.

Madonna Makes History With 45th No. 1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs Chart

Madonna, meanwhile, is set to debut next week with a similarly titled track of her own, "bytch I'm Madonna," featuring Nicki Minaj. With a slew of remixes, including by Sander Kleinenberg, Fedde Le Grand, Junior Sanchez and Sick Individuals, Madonna could be headed for her 46th chart-topper this summer.

As for Rihanna, her "bytch" was remixed by its own cast of EDM stars, including Diplo & GTA, Flosstradamus, R3hab and Michael Woods, among others.

Here's an updated recap of Rihanna's 23 Dance Club Songs leaders over the years. (For titles that spent multiple weeks at No. 1, total frames on top are noted in parentheses.)

She anticipated the Fall of last year but the legendary pushback. Can't say sample clearances so the music hasn't been testing high with the focus groups. No one is anticipating it. She can gain attention thus her trying with those risqué magazine spreads she's been doing. People are like ehh...

I think she should go more Taylor Swift than Rihanna . . or specifically more Selena or Aaliyah .. in the sense that I see has more angelical rather than sexual
