:jbhmm: I do buy all the latest tech. I'm moving to DC in a few weeks for new job and the rent is $2022 a month, so my spending will slow down. But I do have Best Buy Credit (and the new TVs are 0% interest for 24-36 months). I'm trying to decide if I wanna get a prebuilt Origin PC with the new Titans and a 8 or 10-core or get the OLED 4K. I think I watch more TV, so the OLED probably is the best choice, but we'll see.

My Arlington apartment better be worth the $2022 a month I'm paying. I couldn't fly down there to check it out, and signed the lease sight unseen. At least I can walk to work with it. But....$2022 is definitely cutting into my tech spending. I'm used to paying $1200. Yeah, I'm making 20K more in DC, but that also means my student loans go up too (I'm on IBR) :mjcry:

I got $2K set aside for furniture, and 2 months of rent paid already, but shyt will still take a toll. I had no idea the DC area was so expensive. At least I'll save on gas I guess...(and free healthcare too).:yeshrug:

should have moved to the A..:wow:

i got my ks8000 for less than $1800 on amazon warehouse. it's random but just go every couple of days and check.

the dolby vs. hdr10 thing has me shook. i don't want to be on the wrong side of that. samsung and sony are pretty big in 4k right now so i'm hoping the sheer number of sales sways it to my side
Just ordered KS8000, its $1780 at BJ's and they have a good return policy in case something goes wrong.

Yeah Dolby was the main reason I was thinking about LG, but hopefully hdr10 wins out. Either way we'll have other reasons to upgrade in few years, especially if other manufacturers jump onto OLED and bring the prices down.

This is why I hate buying new pieces of tech especially TVs. As soon as I get on a wave, I'm out the loop immediately. :ld: I just got an entry level 4K TV(Vizio M43) and already I regret it with all these tech becoming more popular. HDR, OLED, UHD, Dolby Vision, this tech is moving faster than a motherfukker. :mindblown:

If you have $3K to spare, those OLED 4Ks are the shyt. If not, you can get a great Samsung for $1500 (get the SUHD line. It has better blacks and HDR)
