75k isn't that much money. 100k isn't that much money.

FRFR, you're not really making doe until you hit around 150k.

I know some will disagree...but whatever.

Yeah 75k will go hella far in Anchorage Alaska, Portland Maine, and Jackson Mississippi, but any place people really want to live it's not doing anything worth bragging about.

Not really. I saved nearly 300k before I lived on my own, and I never felt the need to stunt or to floss. 6 figures saved up feels :manny: after a while, but I'm grateful for it.

Cats that want to stunt, got too much societal programming and insecurities to save money.
How much were you making while you saved that up? How many years did it take?

Sometimes I forget the coli ain't real life....

If you think 75k ain't shyt you should consider moving to "fly over country"

Down south 75k will get you everything you need and a decent amount of what you want.

Hell $17.00/hr will have the females:leon:

I make right at 100k in rural Northern Louisiana I think they said the median salary where I’m at is like 25k

:wow:

I think what people mean is "you can't splurge and be irresponsible off 75k" and I think they're correct

True. But if you're financially irresponsible pretty much any salary won't be enough.

Also I'm more addressing the people acting like 75k is chump change when that's big money to like 75% of the country. Like someone said earlier that's more than what most dual income homes bring in.

You're not wrong tho.

money shouldnt really have anything to do with humility. our society is just fukked up. you need knowledge (of self) first and foremost and once you realize in the grand scheme its an means to an end then you will see the question is highly subjective.

I make twice as much as my cousin. but I have a wife and 3 kids to support and put through school, he doesnt. I have a Nissan and a Ford. He feels the need to floss and has an Infinity and a Beemer. he has self-esteem issues. it depends on the type of person you are. if it were just me, I would probably feel like I was rich. I mean I have a nice home now and nice things...but you couldnt tell my income by looking at me or what I drive. sometimes I am sure people think I probably make 25k or less. :mjlol:

if I were in my cousins shoes, knowing what I know now, I would be stacking and investing in my own business instead of working for some wack company like him making 50k per year. when we out in public, he outshines me, cuz I dont give a fukk about that shyt. yet he always be asking if my company got a job for him cuz he want to make more money. :snoop:

All this here. Once you have a family, yeah 6 figures is cool and all, but having little ones depending on you, all you worried about is living in a good neighborhood, having RELIABLE cars and saving, stacking, and investing what ever is left over for the future. I dont even buy close andi got a wife that's as low key as me.

Like other posters said, once your circle grows and you know folks with 50k in their checking and Ms in the bank, and that own multiple properties and businesses 100k dont have the same feeling.

Not saying it isnt good money because it is, but with a family, it kinda isnt lol.

I stay humble because I'm blessed to be where I am. I make more than the vast majority of people. I live in the southeast and I only work half the month. I did intense research into what career I would want and my parents helped me make it to where I am. I make 300K+ so yeah that doctor money. I'm single and live on like 50k I'm paying off my loans and max out my 401k and eliminate my consumer debt,

Most doctors are stupid with their money and let "financial advisors" milk them for everything they're worth. They also live pay check to pay check. I'm striving for financial independence and actually building wealth in my family I have life and disability insurance for if any calmity falls my way (2 mil policy) so my family will be set. I just need to find a good woman (probably wont get married lol).

When it comes to your promotions, would you say they were due more to who you knew and soft skills or were your promotions due more to your performance?

If you had terrible soft/social skills in your field, but your same talent would you be making the same amount right now?

No matter how much you make in this life we are only flesh and blood. There is no guarantee that we will live until we are very elderly. The bottom line with money is that it is to be enjoyed a bit and help others out a bit and to then pass down to a future generation. Money is not to become proud about and then stunt on others. I think the longer you have a little change in your pocket the clearer this gets.
