5 yrs ago, she and I started talking around the same time she and him started talking...

I called myself playing it cool, taking my time feeling the situation out, not knowing that there was somebody trying to get in a relationship with her at the time.

I was cool with that.... a little sad, but at the time, chalked it up to the game like

so we stayed friends.... found out a little while into our friendship that we were really into each other...
wound up falling in love with each other

At the same time, she was still in her relationship, but I was single...

I tried to get her to jump ship then, but she wouldn't... and I don't blame her because at the time, I was in "transition"...

(You know, that period as a young man when you're trying to figure out what to do with yourself.)

She was on a stable boat, and while I had a cruiseliner, I was consistently having to dump water out my ship to keep it from sinking....

So she stuck with stability.

I was the exciting guy with the smile and words that made her melt... but I was all over the place during that time.

And that was her reason for not wanting to be with me.

So at that time, we made the decision to stop talking and I moved on to talking to other ppl, and she kept on in her relationship.

Since then I've become a lot more stable. Basically I grew up.

We wound up reconnecting and our feelings were just so strong for each other....

and that was like 2 years ago when we really just reconnected and rekindled everything.

I wound up getting into a relationship soon after that though...

And well, the rest is history.

That's how I wound up in a relationship while loving another woman, and she wound up in a marriage while loving me.
