What's the Pookie and Ray Ray debateThe black sector of YouTube been having a Pookie & Ray-Ray debate for the last couple weeks. It got me wondering where did those name originate from?
Lil bit, Wayne, doobie, tay tayLMAO. don't forget cookie , man man, trish, and mookie
That's why it baffles me if a black person is asking where those names came from. If you have a predominately black family, especially in the hood, you have heard these names. Those names came from the black parents. Black folks giving their babies nicknames and then those babies growing up and keeping those nicknames as teens and adults.
That's how you end up with a whole bunch of "Man Man's", "Ray Ray's", "Pookie's", "Tee Tee's" ect.
All those names have been around the hood as long as I can remember and I'm old as fukk. LOL
I have a Junebug on both sides of my family![]()
Pretty much.I got family with both names
It's common, along with a whole lot of other lil names that folks my pretend are racial stereotypes, but anyone with a black family and black friends have heard at least one of these names.
Grew up with two kids nicknamed Dee-dee and Nuk-nuk.
And the plot thickens...That's why it baffles me if a black person is asking....
