. . . exaggerate your Annual Income when applying for a credit card . . .. . unless you work for that particular issuer .. they have no way to verify. . . that will help get a higher line which will ultimately help calculate your 'usage' to a lower %

it's all a game just be smart with your money, I'm currently at a 794. I have

- no student loans
- No car loans (haven't had one one in 5 years and even the was on used card)

I have only owned 1 credit card my life, an Amazon card.
I have almost exact opp of you. I have/had several student loans. >>>> these fukked me up the most when I was broke and had like a sub 600.

I got a 3rd job, to pay off a car loan my parent consigned. I paid it off then dropped the 3rd job after a few years.

Eventually I got down to a permanent full time job and was able to pay off most bills regularly. Still had around a 600 score. Did that for a few years then got a credit card.>>>> paying this off regularly made my score jump.

Now I have 5 credit cards, only us 1. I have large limit on all of them. I don't make much but my limit is nearly twice what I make if I combine them all.

I have a new card loan.

My score was hovering around 800 3 years ago.

My credit score is too fucced up to get approved for any “real” card breh. It’s my accounts in collection stopping it when I read my denial letter
What state do you live in, how old are your debts, and when was the last time you paid anything on them?

know anyone with 800 credit? if so ask them to be authorized user on their oldest card. I had 850. anyone I added to my card would get min like 725 and I'm talking ppl who was in the 500s.

by far the easiest method. my wife put me on hers when I was in the 600s she was high 700s and that pulled me up so I pulled up my people after I got pulled up.

unfortunately Chase closed my card I had for 18 years and my credit dived like 40 points

Pay more than the minimum and pay on time every month. If you have a mortgage, don't miss a month. You'll be over 700 in a year.

I had a 794 credit score, never had no loans or anything. Barely used my card until recently last year. When I clear my CC debt, I do think my score gonna hit high 700s again. If you can though, apply for a Discover card.

Any tips on how to get dere? Besides just paying bills on time ?
get credit cards, use them once in a full moon. Pay the back on time.

Never use over 50% of any credit line. Get as many credit lines as you want but only use like 2.

The more, the better.

Also, a mortgage is chefs kiss.

Been 800+ for 4 years now. Wife is the same.

Capital one keeps denying my increases. But I haven’t used them in like 3-4 months and just let it sit with a $0 balance.. I just put my reoccurring subscriptions on them to make the cards more active
Somebody else already said it but C1 is stingy as fukk with increases. It’s not just you.

I’ve only gotten 1 increase with them ever. Try another company like citi or Bank of America

Wells Fargo stingy too.

AMEX used to throw the bag at me and say take what you want. Chase was pretty generous too before Covid.

The unknown
Paying balances down frequently is a good way to keep your utilization down. So thats not a bad habit to get into

for example if you have a $1,000 credit limit, and you spend $700, you are at 70% utilization. That will kill your score. It would be wise to pay that down asap before that utilization gets reported to the credit bureaus.

2 dates to keep in mind

Due Date: Thats when you're supposed to pay. Pay in full is best. Less than and u will carry a balance and pay interest
Statement Cutoff Date: That is the date the credit card issuer snitches your behavior (including your utilization) to the credit bureaus. Make sure to pay down your utilization a few days before that statement date. If you dont know what date that is, call your credit card issuer and ask them. Then call back again because most customer service reps dont know shyt.

@FukYaFeelings the bold is probably the most important message in the thread

If you in the market for a new car, save money until you can make low payments...
and I'm talking about payments under $400.
If you got a credit card and only a $500 limit, use the card to pay on the car payments.
Pay the card balance off before the deadline. Zero it out. Rinse and repeat until 700.
Pay the car off early and flip the resale value into a new whip.

Or set up payments for a recurring bill, like car insurance, with your credit card.
Pay off the card balance before the deadline. Rinse and repeat until 700.

Oh, don't carry anybody on credit with you. Be responsible for your own.
