How does his mother sell her house and car to get a lawyer and then the lawyer insists Brain plead No Contest for a crime that he knows he didnt do?
I know there is conniving women out there that lie about being raped all the time, but for his lawyer to pull something like that is really upsetting to me. And unfortunately this happens all the time. The lawyers only want to get things over with as soon as possible alot of the times and dont actually care whether their client is innocent or guilty. Its a shame he had to spend time in jail for others laziness/greed.

If he didn't take the deal he was looking at up to 41 years in jail, no parole. They were gonna throw the book at him. Probably saw the evidence and figure taking the plea was the best way out.
What evidence? It was a straight up "He said/She said" situation. There was no DNA evidence.
Not just that, but there was no DNA evidence either. Everything about the case sounded like it was winnable.
You almost expect that type of shyt from a public defender on account that they're generally overworked and could give two shyts, but for a hired attorney to do some shyt like that is insane.
Seems to me like she felt some type of way about Banks and didn't believe him either. That's the only reason I can think of that she'd insist on him taking a plea deal for such a winnable case.
i assume he had a public defender, dude was fuked from the start
can't he sue the Long Beach school district and try to get them to pay him?
This dude is a bigger man than me because I'd have stomped that bytch out for that shyt.
She was just so fukking nonchalant about the whole thing...."Let bygones be bygones"![]()
