Minnesota Timberwolves president of basketball operations David Kahn, coach Rick Adelman, and director of personnel R.J. Adelman soon will have a new member of the scouting staff.

Team and league sources confirm that former point guard Will Conroy, who appeared in four games for the Wolves in November and scored one point, will join the front office.

Conroy, 30, is not retiring, the sources say. He's just putting his playing career temporarily on hold.

Conroy's duties will include scouting NCAA games and NBA games and possibly some on-court work. Considering his close relationship with two-guard Brandon Roy, it won't be surprising to see the two work together post-practice.

The Timberwolves gave Conroy $100,000 before he was released to make room for wing Josh Howard.

Also, no CDR, no Michael Redd as the new T'wolf. I'm pushing for Garrett Temple.

It'll take time. Him being back just boosts everyone else's spirits up. The guy that's really been surprising is Shved. If he wasn't ready for the NBA it would be so bad. His contributions have been major.

He's been great. His passing is really good. He will force things but I appreciate that he's got the balls to keep trying to make plays. He's got Barea tendencies but he's still very valuable when he's not scoring.

any chance pek makes the reserve all star?

It's too early to say.

I still think if we even get a rep it should be AK47.

That said, Pek's averaging 16 and 8. After that early slump he had he's putting together a breakout year. Tonight we saw how important he is to this team on offense, and defensively let's be real, he's become average which is a huge step up.

CDR is killing it in the D-league, James Anderson just got cut by the spurs, and Al Thornton is free too...

Seems like it doesn't really matter. Id rather get someone out there with some size to guard SF's without Shved or Cunningham when AK isn't on the court. CDR can score but i dont think that's as big a need.

So James Anderson makes the most sense then...

I like the fact that Lazar can shoot and defend but he is a bit under sized.

All things considered, they at least managed to get 1 win during this Miami/OKC/NY set of games. It should have been two, but shyt happens. 14-12. 4 games over .500 is really becoming a major obstacle.

T'wolves lose another tough game late to Houston at home 87-84. Now they're 13-13 and I hate to say it, if this is how they will look the rest of the year they won't make the playoffs for a ninth straight season, and this was a team collapse from the organization on down. This is the T'wolves team I didn't wanna see for 2 seasons.

The good:

Shved: 16 points. After Pek, sadly our most reliable scorer.

Dante: 8 points, 9 rebounds

Rubio played 21 minutes tonight and it looks like they'll ramp up his PT this week.

Lastly, Derrick played 16 minutes, 9 points, 4 rebounds, had the highest +/- at +4

The bad:
Pek got ill which explains his dismal numbers. Nothing you can really do about that.

Kevin Love: 7 points, 12 rebounds, 5 turnovers, 3-14 FG. We know what he can do, but fukk it, I'm through with Kev this season. He's a lost cause. When he doesn't shoot well, he decides not to give a shyt at any other aspect of the game except maybe rebounding. It's fukking ridiculous and it's hurting the team. He's not gonna get better. He's not gonna improve. He'd rather whine to refs and punch holes in walls instead of fukking admitting his hand is really bothering him and letting Derrick just play. I don't ever wanna hear him bytch again, because he's borderline liable. We lost a tough game to the Knicks without him. I almost feel like if he wasn't out there tonight, we would have won even with no Pek in the 2nd half. That's how bad he's been.

Rick Adelman has been so fukking frustrating this season. Part of why Love plays is because Rick will let him. He'll let Love bring the team down before he'll let Derrick gain some confidence and work through his problems. Dante had a good game tonight, and yes, Pek was out. There is NO excuse for why Dante played almost 37 minutes. 37! Stiemsma didn't even play! You mean to tell me McHale can play flat flooted Omer Asik with no worries but you can't have Stiemsma do what the team paid him $3 mil to do: sub for Pek? If Love doesn't have it, he doesn't have it. Manage accordingly. He's not some fukking superstar where you let him work through his problems. If it's not his night, don't use him. That goes for everyone. Rick frustrated me LESS when he started Wes Johnson. Now we have a void at guard that we're just taking our sweet time fixing. Get someone in there that's hungry that can shoot and defend a bit and go forward. Not only is he not doing that, he's becoming incredibly stubborn with the rotations. This needs to change if we even wanna get back in the playoff picture because at the moment, I don't think we're in it right now. There's no urgency and it's really pissing me off. We're not getting these games back. To be a playoff team we may have to be 14-16 games over .500 minimum. We can't even get to 4 games over without regressing. We are worse than awful. We're just an ehh team.

Something has to change and if it doesn't involve trusting Derrick or moving him to get help in the backcourt, this is the real team. As much as I wanna see Derrick traded, I almost feel like we can't now because of how piss poor Kev has played.

Oh, and lastly, Luke and AK had bad nights but they're the least of my problems at the moment.

13-13.
