I said this especially when Griner's wife was running to the media. The whitehouse could have moved behind the scenes like they did for other Americans jailed in Russia but forcing them to put out a statement so that people can think they're doing something probably set back Griners release by years tbh.

It's why I think it's hilarious that you had some dudes on here saying that Silver should get involved when it's completely out of his realm and jurisdiction. I get that they're frustrated and want her to come ASAP, but this is one of those situations where you keep quiet and let the government do what they do behind the scenes.
