Lebron, more than anyone, knows you don't beat the Spurs with Iso/Hero ball

How so when he's 0-1 against them in a playoff series while Kobe, who constantly uses Iso/Hero ball is 4-2 against them in a playoff series?:dwillhuh:

If anything, maybe that's why some Lakers fans are confused at LeBron's passive aggressiveness, because we are use to our best player being aggressive AND beating them in the playoffs.

No single player is beating the Spurs in the playoffs, you moron. Kobe was also swept by the Spurs too. What's your point? Lebron regularly craps over the Lakers since his Clevelabd days, it doesn't really matter because the entire game changes in the playoffs.

Nikka, do you even WATCH basketball and understand the game outside of the ball going I the hoop? Lebron was standing by the 3 because he realized he was the entire focus of the Spurs defense. They always had someone shadowing Kawhi, ready to help cut off the lane if Lebron got the ball. It's the same reason Kawhi didn't press up on Lebron when he had the chance. Every time he got the ball in the post he was usually soft doubled by a guard until a big could rotate over to help contest.

Lebron was still commanding the entirety of the defensive attention and him standing where he was meant that Wade was able to get into the paint at will because they absolutely refuse to send a double after anyone not named Lebon because they always want someone other than Kawhi to be ready to stop the drive.

Again, why do you think the Heat shooters are hitting with such success? The Spurs are actively deciding to put a massive team effort to stop Lebron from going off aka Mavericks. They're not playing them like the Pacers who trusted George to stop him one on one and Hibbert only to protect the paint because Lebron still gets his and he can get opposing bigs in foul trouble. The Spurs are actively leaving shooters open because they understand Lebron USIA the biggest threat because his style of play allows for points and fouls against their players.

This nikka thinks that Chalmers, Miller, and Allen were just hitting step back 3s like 2K or something and is acting like Lebron recognizing his shot was off was a bad thing.

nothing special about any of this. Any elite offensive scorer draws the attention of the defense, its common sense and players usually dont get praised for it.

Kobe had the benefit of ****ing Shaq and was the 2nd option in two of those, had the benefit of a miracle shot by Fisher in one of those, had one of those most blatant missed foul calls EVER to save them (Fisher on Barry) but they still deserved to win.

It wasn't hero ball though. It was a bunch of clutch team plays plus Kobe's scoring. Again, Kobe can only affect the game wifey scoring whereas Lebron was able to affect the game a myriad of ways (Passing, shutting down Danny Green after him and Wade switched, picks, etc). We saw how hard the Heat shooters struggle when a defense decided to let Lebron go one on one like PG did with Lebron and you morons are honestly bit understanding exactly why the Heat shooters are finally going off while Lebron is taking less shots and not focusing on being the primary scorer.

You're harping on Lebron for realizing his shot was off and trying to find another way to help his team win. This as stupid as harping on Kobe for going 6-24 but pulling down key rebounds they needed for their win.

First off all, I didnt "harp" on anything:ufdup:

I gave you a reason why Lakers fan may look at LeBron's passive aggressive performance in these NBA Finals (because of our past dealings with the Spurs in the playoffs) and then you randomly bring up Shaq like that takes away from Kobe dominating them?:comeon:

1999 playoff series against the Spurs: 21.3 ppg on 44.7% FG
2001 playoff series against the Spurs: 31.3 ppg on 51.4% FG
2002 playoff series against the Spurs: 26.2 ppg on 45.5% FG
2003 playoff series against the Spurs: 32.3 ppg on 43.4% FG
2004 playoff series against the Spurs: 26.3 ppg on 46.2% FG
2008 playoff series against the Spurs: 29.2 ppg on 53.3% FG

Career 28.2 ppg (scored 847 total points in 30 career playoff games) on 47.4% FG

Compare that to LeBron's career 20.5 ppg on 37.4% FG averages in NBA Finals appearances against the Spurs (6 total games and 123 points on 46-123 shooting) and we have a valid basis for our argument.

I'm a big Lebron fan, and it's hard to watch him being limited offensively but in all fairness the Spurs are good enough to shut down any 1 player, so in Bron's defense he is playing smart team basketball and taking what the Spurs give him, which is what it's gona take to win this series. They're in the finals for a reason, they were able to shut down every other team and individual talent. Maybe Kobe or KD (or any other pure scorer) would be putting up 30 a night but if they weren't doing it efficiently and helping their team win then what good would it be?

But with all that being said I will say it again, as a Bron fan it's hard to accept that he hasn't been able to take over these games in terms of scoring, especially because I think it has more to do with him being timid and lacking confidence than the Spurs being so overwhelmingly good on D.

When is the last time Bron dunked on someone bigger than him?

:heh: Silly ass threadstarter...Bron doesn't really play passive...when it appears like Bron is answering the oppossing defense's prayers and giving them their only chance at winning by allowing himself to be contained by soft doubles and not putting pressure on the defense and swinging the ball and allowing the fate of his team to fall on whether random role playing shooters are streaky that night or not, like he did in game 5 against boston in 2010...the entire finals in 2011...and every quarter of this year's finals before last's night blowout 4th garbage time...it's really just the purity and genius of his game shining through, one of his many virtues...they lost in 2011 not because he averaged like 16 points or some shyt (really think hoops fan everywhere should retroactively commend him for not "forcing it")...but because his shooters let him down...if Duncan and Parker decide to actually show up if and when Bron has another one of these genius level pure basketball games, and they happen to lose...the burden falls squarely on the shoulders of mario chalmers

OP's point is LeBron doesn't have the offensive game, or at least the confidence in his offensive game the way Kobe does which should be admitted as a glaring flaw despite his many gifts. Can we all agree that this is a fair point so this doesn't degenerate into a tit for tat stan vs stan pissing match...:beli:
