To me Dame overrated and lowkey he got a great front office that allows him to get all the props for winning and non of the blame for losing

Blazers get swept yearly

If his name was Kyrie Irving it would be different

This is a wings league. Please tell me about all the great wings this great FO has gotten him. You get him an undersized 2 that can fill it up but who has the same issues you do against longer opponents and on defense. It's similar to CP3. People went on and on about the talent on the Clippers while ignoring that they were pitiful at the most impactful and important position in the modern game.

Kyrie has gotten so much love off of one shot and Bron spite. We can't like he's some victim that people unfairly pick on that has never gotten any credit or love.

The eye test tells me Dame can do everything steph can, shoot from deep, handle the ball, take over a game etc. But his record just holds him back. But often that is more about the team than the player. Steph, Kyrie, and Dame are all relatively equal to me. on a given night one can out perform the others.
Steph is on another stratosphere because of his off ball impact

the reason why the gs O looks so easy starts with Steph manipulating defenders with his gravity

dude gets doubled teamed on fast breaks 35 feet away from the basket without the ball in his hands

The difference between these 2 was on full display in the wcf last year

I remember steph getting shytted on by Kyrie multiple times though. Maybe the way they mesh with their teams is different but as individuals i don't see a major difference. I wouldn't feel comfortable calling someone a goat if i couldn't trust them to win a one v one against a rival.

NBA isn't a game of 21.

Id take Kyrie 9/10 times in a one on one vs a lot of cats

I understand that, which is why Steph has been more successful. but I just can't in good conscience say you better than someone you can't beat in a one on one a matchup.

Cap. The Blazers front office has done a solid job of constructing a treadmill playoff team around Dame. A team that can win 50 games and is entertaining to watch but has a second round exit ceiling. It's about as good as they can do in that market and with their draft positions/salary cap situation. The forward spots have always been weak on the Blazers and a fatal flaw that allows teams to ignore the non-shooting Harkless and Aminu (although those two covered the defensive weaknesses of a Lillard/McCollum backcourt) to load up on Dame. This year they have an old Carmelo and Ariza. Dame was never going to beat Golden State, it's unrealistic to put that on him.

Kyrie was doing nothing in Cleveland before LeBron but leading lottery squads and Brooklyn and Boston have had better records when he has sat. Dame is an equal talent with better durability and leadership.

Dame would have a ring too if he played with Kevin Durant and LeBron James. :shaq2:

When has Kyrie Irving led his team to a conference finals? Dame did that in the West. Kyrie with a great squad in the east did worse than when they didn't have him.
