You probably don’t understand basketball as well as you may think you do. Or you’re too young to have watched any of his games; but he has a lot of legendary games that still get burn on NBATV and ESPN classic games and the such. So I’m not sure what it is, but Isiah is by far an all time great, and someone who actively sacrificed personal greatness in order to win titles.

I remember Isiah Thomas when he won those titles.

In the context of his era, sure.

I'm just not really a believer that he's this Tier 2 or 3 all time great when I've seen peak Chris Paul and Steph Curry.

You sound dumb af. Kobe has been general consensus top 6-10 since he won his fifth ring. Alot of former players were giving him GOAT like status when he was alive.

Whats the crieria? Jordan is Tier 1, no question. I'd put Magic and his 9 finals in 11 years up there too. LeBron & Kareem don't belong unless you doing longevity awards and in that case Mailman should be up there. I'd put Shaq in the regrets catagory.

Tier 2.. Isaih gotta go. I'm replacing him with Dwyane Wade

Kobe was never liked by the media he was never gonna b in the GOAT conversation. They had to respect him due to his 2 titles without Shaq. If that didn't happen he'd be getting pissed on 3x's worse.

I think they looking at from a career aspect. You can bring up Bill Russell or Wilt but they didn’t play the talent Shaq and Duncan did. The power forwards Duncan played against year after year
Garnett,Dirk,CWebb,Rasheed Wallace,Antonio Mcdyess,Glenn Robinson etc the NBA at the 4 when Duncan played was serious. Antwan Jamison, Joe Smith, Karl Malone the 4 position was a tough cover.
