He has the highest licensing agreement around(percentage wise), but he doesn't "own" anything.

You do realize that Jordan's influence on Nike made it cool to wear every kind of Nike shoe (that Phil Knight profits off of), not just Jordan Brand.

Before Jordan signed with Nike basketball players would rather wear Adidas.

You completely missed my point. I am not talking about who/how Nike became popular.

I am making the point that Phil is supposed to have more money than Jordan.

I am saying that because Phil profits from ALL the shoes that Nike puts out included the shoes of other super stars, it makes sense that he would have more money.

That's actually not a bad question, a better one that I've often wondered is why he didn't start his own brand of casino?

He likes to gamble and with a casino you basically have ppl generating you money towards that habit. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
