Wait what? You came to a forum to ask what direction to take in life... and just "chose" journalism? Brother that may not work out for you. Journalism is a passion based career field. I've seen the difference between people passionate about journalism vs those who simply "chose" it. Any kind of meaningful journalism career will require you to put in work from day one freshman year. That means getting in at your college's paper, radio show, news network from day one. Internships EVERY summer. You should have four years worth of reels and writing samples by the time you graduate. And even with all that experience, almost no one will take you seriously without a Masters at this point. You ready for all that bromethazine?

P.S. I support you 100% if this is your thing. Just thought I'd lay this out for you to ensure you've thought this through as much as possible.
