He played with a bunch of funky ass white dudes. The best musician in his band was the drummer. Jimi Hendrix was in a band called The Jimi Hendrix Experience, yes the band was centered around him, but he wasn't a stand alone artist as people try to paint him.

I doubt most people who paint him as a solo artist could tell me which guitar is his simply by listening to JHE songs. What made Hendrix special was the whole package. His voice, his lyrics, and his whole band was fukking tight.

His most popular song according to Google is a Bob Dylan cover. It's time to grow up and face reality. England accepted Hendrix before America. He played with some English cats. He loved white people, played with white people, and covered their music.

One could ask why he didn't have a black band. But they won't. I love art in general and to appreciate it one needs to understand the time it was released in.

Bang!

Uh yeah, I'n sure he couldn't play every instrument at the same time live.

Also, a lot of what you are talking about applies to White America, bruh.

Also, he did have a black base player in his band for a time, I believe.

:dwillhuh: Who doesn't know this

The drummer and bassist are both top 50 all time at their respective instruments.

This is an idiotic thread.

nikkas aren't 12 years old now:comeon:
:patrice:

Noel Redding is not a top bassist breh but he worked well with Jimi. Noel startedout as a guitar player. He had to play the songs on guitar first to get comfortable before playing them on bass.

Lol you don't read music threads about The Beatles on the coli then. People constantly claim Hendrix was better than The Beatles because he was black. I wanted to remind them he wasn't even the best musician in his band. I agree with you, lol and I did know that at 12.

@MansaMusa come on down.

jimmy was easily the best musician in the band and a true innovator

mitch mitchell was the 2nd best musician in the group but he was was more an imitator than innovator if you were aware of where his style came from

Contrarian revisionist fakkit looking for attention. He thinks because the Coli is a hip hop forum, posters won’t know any better.

Jimi is the single most important/revolutionary rock guitarist since Chuck Berry and one of the most innovative musicians of the entire 20th century let alone the late 60’s. Mitchell was a very solid/energetic drummer and that’s about it :ld:.

No they claim he was better because his guitar playing, his showmanship, his songwriting, and what he brought to guitar playing as a whole.

How the fukk can you say he wasn't the best musician in his band? What Noel's playing is better than Jimi now?:skip: He was never a bass player and was just an okay rhythm guitar player...Mitch was a great drummer...but wasn't the best.

Mitch gets credit as well..it's a reason he kept him on as a drummer.
