it’s in america, a country from which the inroads we’ve made in our struggle against the remnants of slavery have made it possible for burna boy other africans - along with the rest of the non-white population on this planet - to enjoy some measure of liberation from colonialism and its vestiges.
he speaks of the chinese and other ethnicities coming to america and succeeding, attributing what they’ve supposedly achieved to their understanding of where they come from, but fails to acknowledge that these groups could only migrate to the us and partake of its opportunities precisely because of the fight african americans have waged against white supremacy.
