That's not what I asked. Now you're moving the goal post.

Why is it okay for Jamaicans to proudly call themselves Jamaican, but AAs cannot proudly call ourselves American despite living in the countries for the same amount of time?

Where did I say you can’t call yourselves AAs ? I’m talking about ancestry. Well I forgot y’all have an axe to grind against other blacks.

Maybe if I was white you’d be nicer

So you came here to say nobody made the point but then proceeded to make the point ? Lmao.

Yeah you people are Americans that happen to be black. No ties to Africa.

I ain’t black papi lmao
Okay, now I see. You're not debating in good faith. You're emotional and irrational right now. Or maybe just not too bright? I can't tell. Either way, I'm done engaging with you.

NO shyt. BLACK SUGGESTS AFRICAN ANCESTRY.

But I’m also a Black American ADOS man. That comes from the distinct Black American culture that was made here that has family members in the African American Hall of Fame, that has built up cities here with their own money. Y’all the ones that keep playing games with our ancestry, deciding when we are or are not African depending on the argument. Black American is fine with me because it is something the whole world can’t deny. It’s my current incarnation and the people I have shared values with. It also allows me not to speak for actual continental Africans that come from the nuance of those recently created nations

So what we’re fighting about ?

Same here. Nobody is saying not to claim you’re from here since you’re born here but to try and say you’re not African descent is crazy to me

My dude you’re saying your ancestry is American and not African ? Is that right ?

No, I'm saying we been in this country so long, America is essentially where we're from. We an embodiment of it. There is no changing that, our identity is completely different. Just like Germans, Russians, and Italians are different. Ask an American where they're from and it's America even if they're ancestry is Irish.

The first African slaves arrived here in 1619, 404 years ago. It's just plain silly to tell Black Americans to go back to Africa. It's silly to claim we not from America.

Nobody should tell how to identify. When you mention Jamaicans they are some of the biggest upholders of Black unity movement globally.

They have their identity and still acknowledge their African roots and have been pro unity on a cultural level.

In contrast you have brehs who are trying to run away from Africa with a new identity like the fake descendants of Israel or the fake Aboriginals etc. Or the xenophobic often African hating acronym gangs founded by Tariq and Yvette. Do you see the difference?

Jamaicans claim Jamaica proudly and still claim their African roots. To be fair this divisive movement in America is relatively new age. In the Past Black Americans did just as the Jamaicans I described. The true question is why so many people are motivate by self identifying as a way to erase their African roots. Jamaicans didn't do that.
