butler was your best overall player because Ben and Embidd mess hard. Butler had the most versatility of all your players.

Simmons is supremely limited and the big mistake is thinking he’s a ppg. He’s not. He’s a point forward. He’s more Draymond than Lebron when it come to facilitating and setting up other player, and that’s not cuz of coaching but because of his skill set. When Simmons is playing the go position he isn’t always making his teammates better. Any guard on that team can dribble to the lane, turn and pass it out for a 3. Thats not making anyone better. Last night Harden turned an avg C in Capela into what looked like a HOFer. A player of capela skill set should never have dominant game opposed to a supreme better player in Embidd but it happened. When Harden penetrates he makes you commit one way or the other. He finishes, somebody got a oop, or Gordon open for a wide open 3. It’s that simple for Harden but not for Ben because he is a complete pg. When Ben penetrates to the left(because he rarely goes right), everyone holds their ground because he's not a great finisher and they know he'd rather pass. Simmons can't be put into P&R as a dribbler primarily because the defense will go under every time and the opposition wings will cheat and clog. Cant put the ball in his hands in the closing mins of close games cuz of his FTs.

Simmons limitations are holding this team back. You’re foolish if you think Simmons is on Butlers level

Butler doesn't shoot enough threes (for his percentage) and he disappeared throughout much of games. His defense was also incredibly overrated. He'd show up in the 4th sure, but even then he wasn't a great closer. He's also had some serious wear and tear on those knees since he spent much of his career playing for Thibs. I was against giving him any deal that was longer than 3 years.

Simmons is still only 23 and only has room to improve. Butler's 30 and fading. Not worried about playing against him at all in the spring.

Brown is not getting fired this season. We're not trading Joel or Ben. The Sixers are gonna win 50 games for the 3rd season in a row and both players are under 26 years old and recently got big deals. It's not gonna happen.

Now trading Horford, that might be something we should look into.

Didnt mean this year, but the writing is on the wall. The locker room issues, players using the media to shyt on the system, Jojo publicly telling Ben to shoot, etc.

Embiid turns 26 in a couple months, and is still be load managed. If we want to keep the Embiid/Simmons experiment, get rid of Brett Brown this offseason and run it back...otherwise Trade Simmons and give Embiid a floor spacing pg, or trade Embiid, and surround Ben with snipers since he's younger.

Either way, the inept rotations and floor spacing problems is old. Neither Simmons or Embiid is able to excel in this current system.

It's not going to happen. After giving both players big contracts Elton will see any trade of Simmons or Embiid as panicking, and he probably doesn't want to be seen as a new GM making panic moves so early. They beat the shyt outta the Bucks less than 2 weeks ago by doing exactly what they're gonna do in the playoffs: slow the game down and use their size and length to shut down their opponent's best players.

I'd shop Horford and Scott around to see what's out there, but other than that I don't think this team will make any major moves assuming the rotation players stay healthy.

Ben has also defended Jimmy incredibly well this season. It’s not about Ben or JoJo. It’s the fact that the roster isn’t built to help either one. Where are the shooters and athletes to play with Ben? Where are the shot creators to play with JoJo?

The interesting thing though is that those are players both guys need. Both need shooters to space the floor, and you say shot creators for Joel, which I can agree with, but also isn't a shot creating guard exactly what we've always said we need to pair with Ben too?

While Ben and Joel have aspects of their games that clash, they also are helped by the same types of guys. We haven't given either of them much help honestly

Get them the actual help they need, and let them show their combined strengths. Extreme size on the court, elite and switchable defense, will punish you inside, dominate the boards, Ben controls transition play while Joel dominates half court sets, and in giving space Ben will be able to find Joel opportunities

We’re on the same page. They need a shot creator, some wing athletes and shooters. I like Pelle long term as the back up 5. I just don’t get this roster construction. Most of these guys don’t fit with Jo and Ben outside of Thybulle and J Rich.

I don't think Tobias is a bad fit as a guy who can space the floor, create some looks for himself, three level scorer who loves scoring out of the PnR. He should be unleashed in the PnR a lot more with Ben and Joel setting him screens, that's on Brett

Just a guy like Bertans would honestly make a huge difference even though he isn't an on-ball creator
