I’m bout halfway through this Tanking to the Top book.
Interesting read.
I didn’t know MCW and Noel hated each other, or that Noel was a locker room issue.
Embiid too in his first couple years.

I remember them saying Embiid was hard to control while he was rehabbing. I also remember the stories about his poor diet started months after he was drafted.

Doesn't surprise me about Noel. He was mad immature when he was here.
That would explain his last year here. Brett wasn’t giving him no run once he was actually healthy, and Embiid was back.
Brett wasn’t a fan of his. And he got caught with weed multiple times, but they swept it under the rug.

Ay yall, this Rudy Gobert situation got me thinking. If they have to trade him in the offseason, they need a 5 to replace him and that could be a great opportunity to make a three-team deal and ship Horford over there.

Here's a trade I have in my mind:
Utah gets: Al Horford
Kings get: Rudy Gobert
Sixers get: Buddy Hield(and maybe a little more?)

Utah ends the Gobert debacle, and replaces him with a veteran 5 who has won at a high level, is a good locker room piece, and will help them continue to compete in the playoffs.

SAC flips Buddy who apparently wants out and was benched for the Center they desperately need, and an elite one at that. They get a back-to-back DPOY who dominates the boards and can dominate the PnR with Fox.

We get rid of Al and replace him with Buddy who's an absolute sniper and easy 20ppg. He'd bring some much needed offense and floor spacing, and imagine how good he'd look next to Simmons. I'd try to get Bjelica too, he's a sniper from 3 who can handle it a bit at the 4. His age also extends our title window considerably

Simmons, Buddy, JRich, Tobias, Embiid
Milton, Thybulle, Furkan, Bjelica

There is absolutely not a chance the Jazz would do something like that. Give up a 27 year old perennial DPOTY candidate for a 34/35 year old stretch 4 that doesn’t rebound or defend brehs. Al is done being a starter in the NBA. I don’t think the Jazz trades Rudy, they will patch things up.
If they have to move him though, they need a 5. There was rumor the Jazz were already getting tired of him before the whole Corona thing, I've seen Jazz fans complain about his defensive performances for awhile now. His trade value seems pretty shot. The problem with Horford is that we tried using him as a stretch 4 which he's awful at, but he could make for still a good 5.

They can get a lot more for Rudy than Horford
Obviously it's not the public that makes trades, but his value seems shot. If they have to move him, the Jazz lose all leverage, and will need to find a replacement center is the thing. This is obviously the rough skeleton of a trade, it can be spiced up to make it work better
The Kings are getting a lot in my book, they could easily give some more to Utah, and we can throw in a second or two

The Sixers gonna have to throw some picks, filler players, and cap relief for anybody to look at Horford:ufdup:

How does Gobert fit with Bagley?

it was the rough outline of a deal. If Utah has to trade Gobert they lose a lot of leverage, they need to find a 5, and SAC is clearly getting a lot in the deal. We have 4 seconds this year and 3 in 2021 to offer. Kings have 3 seconds this year, they can offer some. Push comes to shove, I'd consider moving our 1st we got from OKC.
How does Gobert fit with Bagley?
How does Holmes fit with Bagley? Because that's what they were planning on running anyway
