Ben doesn't seem to take direction well regardless. That's why him and Brett get along so well outside of the connection with his father. Brett doesn't require much of him & its clear Ben doesn't really take Brett seriously in that way so he can skate on by without the criticism...and this is coming from someone who likes Ben. Its too friendly between them...its been time to break that up. Ben has to tone that ego down & realize with all his talent he's still not a complete player yet, so some direction is needed, even if it is from your teammate who's just trying to force the best out of you. It's about as close as any player would come to packing Brown's bags themselves, with most of Philadelphia's veterans opting to accept responsibility themselves and not weigh in on the future of the head coach.
