Elton Brand is about to get Hinkied 
This seems just like when they hired Jerry Colangelo but said Hinkie would continue to run the team as GM.

only problem is Elton Brand has shown he for damn sure aint HinkieHinkie was a Morey protege, if anything we're binging some Hinkiism back into this franchise

Seems to me ownership was trying to cut corners with the staff.
Brett Brown was hired as the literal tank commander and we kept him around despite continually coaching us out of games.
Now the ownership is investing, and by bringing in lots of assistants etc. they basically are stockpiling back ups.
If Doc doesn't work out for whatever reason it could be Cassel or Joerger, even by halfway thru the season.

Morey is anti-tank

I know it's over GM but I'm assuming Brand will still have some autonomy (which is still bad
