My understanding of the situation is that they just have a weird love for Precious Achiuwa. I don't get it, they're projecting breh to be a 6'8" Center and looking at his game he can't shoot worth a damn, pass worth a damn, he's not a rim protector, etc...The costs will be too much, it’s fools gold
Masai knows something we don’t and I don’t trust it
I think this is a fair trade all around.
The Raptors turn Lowry and Powell into two 1sts, two 2nds, Maxey, and get a flier on Kevin Knox. Knox is a failure for the Knicks, but at 21 y/o his blend of shooting, mobility, handling, and length make him the kind of guy Toronto turns into a good player in a couple years. The other guys are expiring contracts, their cap space is preserved.
The Knicks turn two seconds and Knox who has no future in NY into two good wings in Green and Korkmaz. The Knicks are 29th in 3PAs, these two would be huge for them making a playoff push, especially considering Danny's defense and experience, and Korkmaz's potential to be a longterm piece for them. They're all expirings protecting their cap space. I think they're big winners.
We roll out:
Lowry/Powell/Simmons/Harris/Embiid
Curry/Milton/Thybulle/Buyout PF/Dwight

........ It ain’t stopping us though
