Are You Thinking Like Someone Who Believes Hell Never Pay His Mortgage Off?

Paying PMI Is Flushing Money Down The Toilet

How You Gonna Pay Ya Mortgage Off When 90% Of Your Payments Are Going To PMI And Interest ? lol
If you learn how to read I clearly said pre pay the PMI.

All that is an insurance policy so if they can't afford 20% down they can also prepay it in advance up front so it's not part of their monthly mortgage

I am planning to pay off my house within 10 years

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
It’s so easy to get approved now and interest rates are low so I thot I was onto something. But everybody else had the same idea:martin:

Also, lemme just get this off my chest.
I need everybody from up north and out West to Fukk off.:wtb:
You come here with your six figure income and your big ole savings accounts and while I just got my lil coins.
And you out bid me by like $40k on a house:stopitslime::snoop:
Go home!
:damn:My wallet ain’t deep enough!!!

I agree as a New Yorker. Six figure people need to learn patience and stick to owning homes in their metro area.

First off....I don’t even like the way most new homes in my budget look.

My budget for a house is $300000. I’ll have about $60k to put down and I qualify for a first time homeowner program and down payment assistance programs as well.

But my major issue is paying a bunch of money for a barn looking house made from cheap siding, that is two feet away from your neighbors house, no backyard space, acreage....:stopitslime::stopitslime::stopitslime::stopitslime:

Also the house plans.:snoop: I grew up in a brick ranch home. 3 bedroom/2 baths, den, living room, dining room, kitchen with breakfast area.

But now because everybody thinks “OPEN FLOOR PLAN” is the coming messiah, the houses somehow have more space but less room.:mindblown:

So I no longer get a separate eat in kitchen, and a dining room. No longer have a living room/parlor AND a den. Just one big ole mashed together area.:pacspit:

And the BEDROOM SPACE! How can the house I grew up in be 1700 square feet and have bedrooms large enough to accommodate a full bedroom set...but a big ass 2200 square foot house got rooms the size of matchboxes.

I have full wood furniture. You know. Real shyt. Not particle board bullshyt you pay $2000 for these days. Bedroom sets passed down from my grandparents from 1800s.

But these new ass houses ain’t even got bedrooms big enough to accommodate a full/Queen size bed, nightstand, armoire, and dresser.

So I feel like I’m paying more for less even though it’s a newer home.:shaq2:
Is it just better to build? Am I trippin? I swear older homes are better than some of the new shyt I see on the market now.

no one is forcing u to buy. ur fortunate to be in the position to purchase a crib.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
They got hit really bad during the housing crisis and still bounced back. So this won't be as bad as that. As long as they keep attracting more transplants and jobs.

Hearing the OP talk about 300K homes is fantasy to me.

Today at work I was looking at homes in Long Island that cost north of $700K

Where do you Toronto people move to avoid high cost of living? I only know many Montreal folks are deep in Florida for retirement reasons.

before we used to move like a hour away to locations like barrie, hamilton but now even those places are expensive

16 Eccles St S, Barrie, ON - S5068969 - HomeFinder.ca

only good thign covid did is kill airbnb so you can find a condo for rent for like 1,700 now which would be like 2,300 this time last year

plus being single you are screwed, i make great money and have great credit and I could only qualify for a 450k mortgage which gets you like nothing in the city

Long Island actually got even more competitive cause a lot of the cacs in Manhattan moved there for covid.

mans honestly even before that Idk how cause every other day I use to hear people are fleeing the island because of high taxes
