Yeah I would understand it if it was Byron that threw that statement out there himself in some kind of panic. But for the lawyer to say “yeah he did engage in sex with a high schooler, but he thought she was 18” is wild. There was next to zero chance she could prove this happened. He didn't go to the school to pick up girls....the Lakers went there to film an instructional video in their gym. For all we know it could have been after school hours, on a weekday or holiday.....maybe she was a volunteer helping out. Maybe she was forward with him...they had lunch, she showed him around.
