I can't believe people are actually blaming B Scott for this :stopitslime:
Lakers wouldn't have been shyt this year regardless of who coached but the problem was it seemed like a total year of stagnation for the young players which is the real problem. He constantly shyt on the young players for no reason. There was hardly any semblance of an offense. Defense was atrocious. This should have been a year of young players getting experience learning on offense and defense and while losing at least gaining that experience. On the outside looking in and also according to some insiders there was no communication with most of the young players and their bad habits weren't being corrected.

Let me ask you this. If Popovich was the coach last year, do you think the Lakers would have won a championship
No, but they would be much more respectable by a significant margin.

B Scott is stuck in a time warp with his archaic offensive and defensive schemes along with his terrible coaching staff aka yes men. I wanted B Scott to succeed here but he's been terrible and his ego won't allow him to adjust with the times. He's been a great tank commander though:wow:

Mitch knows a lot about basketball. It's Jimbo who doesn't know sh!t.
I heard on the radio recently that this is the end of Jim Buss' run.

If I remember correctly he said he would run things for a few years and if it didn't succeed he'd step back and let Jeanie take over.

No, but I think we would know a whole lot more about which young players can really play and which ones are expendable. Byron basically wasted a whole season with his foolishness.

I think you're glossing over the fact that he was in a lose/lose from the gate. Kobe was on a farewell tour. It was a season of lettin Kobe fire off as many shots as he wanted while trying to tank at the same time to get a lottery pick :heh:
