STOP Listening to sports talk radio. thats not true at all. now was he the best coach for this super young and dumb team in this era of soft egos? no
was he a solid coach in a prior era? YES. he had his team in the championship with a lesser cast than most. he had cp3 and the hornets balling out even vs the much better laker team in the playoffs. so sorry i cant call a coach a bad coach when he has a team full of kids that are not lebron status or shaq status. sorry. that aint his fault. oh and this season cant be counted against him one bit. you had kids and the kobe tour. that right there says there is no way in hell you're going to win games like that.

You just gonna accuse someone who would never waste time listening to sports talk radio of doing so, and then follow up with a shallow and cliche take?
Byron been a shytty coach from jump. He succeeded when he coached two of the all time greatest PGs because they served as coaches on the court, often overriding his plays and freelancing. Both of those PGs thought he was a garbage coach while they played for him and made that clear. His assistants used to leave the game footage at weird times in the tape and when they'd get them back the footage would still be at that same random time - proof he simply didn't watch the tape. He never ever managed to adapt to changes in the game, whether we're talking in-game coaching or overall adjustment for the style of play of the era. He's a fukkin bonehead who thinks his tag-along rings with the Lakers gives him the right to be arrogant and dismissive as a coach, and that has led to one of the worst records for any coach in NBA history, despite having the fortune of having Kidd and CP3 coach for him during some of his seasons.
