Soaps have a lot of chemicals in them which can cause more harm. They suggest this when u have skin issues not just for anyone. Soap is drying as fukk which is why these companies try and do all this advertising about how moisturizing their shyt is.

I've never understood where this one ever came from. Unless you are using a goddamn wave boar brush to scrub your skin, soap and water shouldn't dry out shyt nor have any real negative effects. If it does you have bigger problems than soap and water. And the hypothetical dermatologist needs to focus on whatever that bigger issue is.
