How long has he been mayor? Is he even the first black mayor?
He said 2 black people on the city council mentally still live on the plantation and if their white peers voted to bring back slavery they would vote for it. So as far as we know it's the white people on the council and those 2 who're keeping him out, which is why he's now currently protesting against his government for change.
