Given the money to live comfortably in either places, Cali. Mainly comes down to the weather and scenery for me
California easily, and I hate LA

Haha my man yeah there’s alot of spots that are dusted and burnt out off nellis (Boulder hwy too) and yes there are a ton of dope fiends and meth heads in that area I lived more towards the Maryland pkwy area growing up that area is closer to unlv but there are tons of hood ass apartments (nothing like la) but there so close to the strip and hella cheap back in the day (like 400$ a month) and a lot of ppl who first move to Vegas that work off the strip live there when they first come to Vegas it was a crazy mix of ppl from LA NY CHI MIA ppl from Bosnia Pakistan Ethiopia Cuba Nicaragua everywhere u can imagine and regardless of it not being the best area (not the worst) I always was glad to grow up around all that mixture because you learn two things every culture got there bad joints and every culture got there riders and you learn to respect there differences and it’s why I got to have so many dope NY and LA ppl growing up and they put me up on game for everything music clothes how to move etc but a lot of Vegas isn’t like that at all I always tell ppl Vegas is a mix of the good parts of LA and the bad parts of phoenix (which makes sense we in the middle of both)I'm in a similar situation, where my great grandparents on my mom side are from Houston. They moved out here in the 30s or 40s, and my mom was born in the Wood. I was born in Pasadena, but grew up in Compton (where my grandma stay), West LA and later Inglewood, where I went to high school.
I moved to Vegas myself in the fall of 2015 when my job at the time offered me a GANG of pay as well as relocation, and I HATED it out there. Boring as hell, and scorpions all through my apartment. I stayed near Nellis.
Needless to say, I was up and out that bytch as soon as I could. Wasn't for me, and I missed the color "green", as everything out there is brown and orange, and the streets are bleached by the sun. It was awful. I still fukk with Vegas for a vacation, but outside of that, hell nah. Surrounded by old wrinkled meth heads 24/7 if you're off the strip.
Worse I'd seen was when I had to occasionally visit Pahrump. I ain't never seen no shyt like that, straight out of the Hills Have Eyes
Anyway, yes my nikka, Roscoes bangs lol. I remember when White people first heard of chicken and waffles, they were like "ewww" lmaoooo
Now you see nothing but white folk at the ones on Pico and in Anaheim.
But yeah some of those apartments got hella scorpions (that’s not super common but there are ones that have them)
And yes pahrump is trash I know some ppl that live there and commute to Vegas (which is insane) hills have eyes for sho it reminds me of those small towns built around a state penn
I tell my boy in Atlanta (I stayed out there for two months in 09) roscoes destroys Waffle House (Waffle House is trash) it’s just open 24/7 but magic city did live up to the hype
But that’s what’s up i met a ton of cool ass ppl from hub city (never been there tho) but k dot and nas my favorite rappers so whenever I see my ppl we always chop it up about his newest shyt
But one thing I would suggest whenever u come thru to Vegas is to check out the mob museum in downtown it’s fire I even took a date or two there (it’s just smthng cool and diff to check out) and there is a fire ny deli off Maryland and trop it’s low key but all my out of town ppl love it

And I was a regional manager out there (which is why I had to occasionally go to Pahrump
) so my income to living expense ratio was bananas. But I just couldn't do it, mane. I had to get back to LA, so I saved and went back home. Actually ended up homeless for a few months in LA to tell you the truth because I came back without a plan. It was the lowest point in my life breh, and I was living out of my car.
But that says something, that I would rather be homeless in Los Angeles than live like a "king" in Las Vegas lmao
As someone who’s lived in both areas still in the bay I’m not salty. Just like every place in the world some show love and some hate no one is immune to thatLive in Northern California currently. Have visited and passed through LA.
SoCal > NorCal. No doubt about it.
Neither is better than NY, tho

But no I def get it fam I been in close situations like that too but I always put shyt in gods hands and he ain’t always gave me what I asked for but he always gave me what I needed plus I got ppl who ain’t live to my age so I just take any setback as a hard lesson
But you got back right plus that’s how a lot of ppl out here are they don’t for real wanna live here but LA and NY you either take flight or crash and burn they ain’t really any in between
Plus I’m sure a homeless breh in LA still pulling badder joints out there than an above average dude here if you got game all you have to do is look clean I had a boy from LA pull a dime piece out here he might’ve had 10$ on him and a fresh haircut none that extra shyt these ppl think they need and you might not get a bunch of them but all you need is that one bad one that understand your story and the rest fall into plan
And some of ppl out here get mad at LA ppl but I always tell them there not trying to clown you but if they tell you don’t wear or say certain shyt in LA there trying to protect you but some ppl just don’t get it tell they go out there

All I know is, once you see what we have to offer in this state, it's hard to go back where you came from, and most only do it because

No other reason you'd want to live anywhere else, really. We got the weather, the best looking women, the beaches, the car culture, the food...
When you think about it, no other state has the combination of things California offers, and that's why we remain the highest populated state. Texas is 2nd, and we damned near double their population.
