I would love to move back to California. I 100% believe it is the most unique of all 50 states, there is no experience like it...

But the cost of living is long outta control. You add that with the fact I had all my daughters out this way, there's little feasibility to returning...

But I do miss it, and it hurts my heart to hear so many stories of people leaving. Cali is in trouble, like the article says, at high risk of becoming a place for only the super wealthy or super impoverished. Regular working folk are getting pushed out en masse...
I miss home. There's nothing like it.

Earthquakes don’t make you nervous living out there? That’s the only thing that’d stop me from moving there. Aren’t y’all due for the big one?
Nope! :pachaha:

I grew up and used to live in the east bay, and the fault went directly under my house. I had to re-pave my driveway every year lol. I grew up with earthquakes, so I’m not really scared of them and I know what to do in case of one.

:myman:

I live in Marin county now and the fault bypasses southern Marin.

:whew:

We are due for a big one, and I hope the transplants leave for good.

New Yorkers do this too. Complain about crime and then move to Atlanta which is a top 25 murderous city
New Yorkers don’t know any better.

If you asked most they would assume NYC is more dangerous.

California plates everywhere in Arizona

Yep. I see Cali plates damn near just as much as I see Arizona plates. We got lucky when we purchased our home, but the housing market here is fukked now. It’s not entirely their fault, but Cali transplants have a heavy influence on that. People are fleeing that state, and I don’t blame them. Cali is fukked. You’re either wealthy or poor there. There seems to be very little in between or Middle-Class.

One of the reasons I chose AZ is because I can be in SoCal in a short drive, but I don’t have to live there. It’s a shame too because it’s such a beautiful state. I like to go for a day or spend a night, and then bring my ass right back to AZ. I do the same with Vegas.

Researchers say don’t blame out-of-state movers for soaring home prices

Out-of-state movers are not driving Texas' surging home prices, according to new researchfrom the Texas Real Estate Research Center.

“There is essentially no correlation between Texas' statewide home-price appreciation and migration patterns over the past 15 years," said Wesley Miller, senior research associate for the Center at Texas A&M University.

Cali people need to go out and vote locally for pro housing candidates. The reason why housing is so expensive is that there are many nimby liberals holding up new housing in urban areas.
Nah its bigger than that. At this point approving a couple new condos being built in urban downtown areas isn't going to change anything

This trend has been going for the past two decades in every major city across America. Cali is the same shyt, just on steroids
