far too many homeless in the major cities.....san fran is a weird ass city, the downtown infrastructure is beautiful yet its literally tens of thousands of homeless just laying around. La is probably even worse by now.

Breh I am still in disbelief.The situation itself is so incomprehensible and to even witness it is soul crushing.

Local governments make it worse by not allowing enough new, dense housing to be built. Average 1 bedroom rent in SF is $3700, yet average residential building stories is 4. Build higher.

High rents is the only one you said that really matters. The drought thing is pretty much gone. Fires pretty much only affect rich people in the hills and is a wildly overblown media thing. Pollution, bad drivers, tourists is something every mid to major city faces.
