It is not equal. So tell girls it isn’t equal. Tell them that what they’re feeling are hormones, and what men are feeling are THEIR hormones. I absolutely agree. This is the same for me as Black kids getting targeted at school for being aggressive or disruptive, when they’re only being kids and doing the same thing as everyone else. Are some kids more sexually curious? Of course. But we all know that Black kids (and adults to be honest) are frequently being labeled and treated as if everything they do is wrong. And it’s often other Black adults pointing the finger while doing nothing to help.
