Cam'Ron And Dame ...why did they not start up or continue the ROC after Jay left?

Puff does him because he owns damn near all of his artists masters/catalogs and can eat off that forever. The shucking and jiving works for him because he is the brand. Being visible is his asset even if he never makes music again.

Dame/Biggs/Jay sold pieces of Rocafella to Def Jam and surrendered control little by little thru the nature of Def Jam owning half the damn company. The way it seems was that the people who wanted to work with Jay flat out told him that he didnt need Dame/Biggs and was better off without them, which has proven to be true. Who wants to sit thru a meeting and have Dame come in shytting on everyone and threatening to hold the place hostage. Def Jam gaining a bigger stake in the label turned Dame into a middle man. They didnt need his people promoting, designing album covers, liaising with the media or doing A&R because they had the ability to do it on their own.

Lyhor pulled a divide and conquer move and it work...

I do believe that all 3 of them could have created generational wealth thru ROC-A-Fella

And that includes everything Roc Related...

I think thats what bothered Dame the most....

As far as the dancing,Dame a Harlem nikka having fun...He wasnt hurting anyone...

Only Jay and Ye was pushing real units for the Roc and Kanye needed to do him with little oversight to become who he is now. NO FUKKIN WAY that this version of Kanye fits in with that old version of the Roc. Dame would be shaking him down repeatedly to produce for bullshyt artists like Rell and Juelz as a favor for Cam. Kanye would lose his mind

Then, whether Dame/Jay/Biggs stayed together or not, Rocawear was gonna get played out regardless. Even new Rocawear clothes look like shyt and lets not even talk about State Property clothing. Those cats werent eating lovely offa the clothing line because whoever they partnered with initially put in the most $$ and used their own facilities/textiles to manufacture/ship the clothing. Jay and Dame were glorified mascots when it was time to advertise and put the clothes in the videos. And lets be real, the clothes fukkin sucked. I'm glad Dame got whatever $$$ he did get off of it. Present day Rocawear is only as relevant as Jay's image. He falls off, so does the brand and the licensing company pulling the strings will move on to other things (i.e. BBC)

The only one remotely coming close to creating generational wealth is Jay and thats because linking up with Beyonce was a come-up and EASILY helped extend his career and visibility. In turn, he looks like a smart businessman who gets to dabble in team ownership, a sports bar and becoming an agent even thought the image is selling these things to the public, much like what Puff does. Jay sells it as a musician and Puff sells it as a mascot/Hip Hop royalty figure.

But that shyt, for Jay, wasnt happening with Dame wilding out in meetings, putting his feet up and calling everyone a$$holes and all kinds of bugged out shyt like that. Motherfukkas convinced Jay that Dame didnt have some magic powers that made him and irreplaceable music mogul, AND THEY WERE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
