Knicks have definitely shown up and made timely runs when it's mattered (to which they deserve credit for), but one would be remiss to not see that Boston has been in the driver's seat for almost the entirety of this series, all the while shooting terribly and defaulting to bad habits of the past (that we all thought they'd put behind them after winning last season).

It's almost as if you run either of those games back and Celtics win 8/10 times. It just so happens that the result we have now ended up being the 2/10 times.

blowing a 20 point lead is a one time fluke. blowing a 20 point lead a second time is a sign of bad things to come....

t-dot till they bury me
I just voted Celtics in 7...This series is giving me flashbacks of the '94 Western Conference Semifinals between the Suns & Rockets. The Suns overcame huge deficits games 1 & 2---winning both games on the road in Houston. The Knicks even have some snake bitten Phoenix Suns residue on them(Mikal Bridges, Landry Shamet, PJ Tucker, and Cam Payne)......I have this fuked up Phoenix Suns intuition.Anything connected to it.I can feel the dark clouds forming.
Orange and blue skies though:comeon:

You’d never see Melo run into any of these problems offensively :mjlol: especislly in the playoffs. Very clutch player that rose to the occasion and knew his role perfectly (Number one scoring option).

Granted he ain’t locking no one up but a team like Boston fits his play style perfectly

I still think Tatum is good it’s just he’s extremely soft mentally and that’s why he having these brain farts and confidence issues. He not a dog like that despite being 6’9 and damn near 230 now - almost same size as Melo during his playing days

He has the mid range shot but he doesn’t play in the post, doesn’t drive, shoots a suspect middy now and settles for wayyy too many 3s. He didn’t always play like this though so it’s shocking to see. Kinda reminds me of Vince when he fell in love with the 3 during the end of his Raptor tenure and beginning with the Nets. But even Vince would still attack the rim and was a lethal mid range shooter
Not arguing your point but how do you determine this. Maybe he's just struggling this series. He's one of those guys that foe whatever reason, people love to shyt on. personally I don't get it. He locks up defensively, a good playmaker, and seems like a good teammate.

I dunno about bringing up someone like Melo lol bc that's just a pandora's box.

But ultimately, other star players and even role players have improved their games and their shot selection/decision making over the years to address their weaknesses. Obviously not always the case, and that's where Tatum seems to fall under. Still doin the same shyt from 2, 3, 4 years ago. We see ppl tryna make it an Ime vs Mazzulla thing, or an analytics thing, or for the longest a JT vs JB thing, but nah how about that muthafukka #0 just improve his game or his mental psyche and be consistent?

And if he simply can't and we just "accept him as he is"... cool, in that case ppl shouldn't be too harsh on him nor give him the prime Westbrook/Harden treatment when he underperforms (so lowered expectations for greatness), but he also shouldn't be gassed up over other current stars just bc Boston wins. Since obviously Boston can still win this series, even if JT continues to play like LAC George Paul.

We keep expecting tatum to be something he doesnt want to be. We got to let it go. Hes a 6'10 Paul George. I think nick wright or broussard said it best "Jason Tatum is the Kobe Bryant of a Paul George tier player."

its impossible to repeat in the modern NBA
gotta love it

this is how the Knicks were expected to perform but they were bullshytting during the regular season. if they make the finals, who realistically beats them except Denver?

What is your time frame for "Modern NBA"
I say that because your not going to tell me that
The KD Warriors
The Pre KD Warriors
The Heatles
The Kobe/Pau Lakers
The B3 Celtics
The Lebron/Kyrie Cavs

Would NOT repeat in this era of basketball are you??
