<---- this is you right now.nikkas who haven't a clue about Ross discography yet claim to own all his albums(how u own most his albums but can't recognize his songs by name)
you can't get an honest debate about Ross without emotions entering the thread.
What im getting at is this debate could never truly take off because most ppl wouldn't even entertain it or they can't argue because theyre not as familiar with Ross as they are with Biggie.
DTR and Teflon Don are CLASSIC albums, they still sound good TODAY even though DTR is over 3 years old and TD is going on 2.
Like I've said earlier, if all u know about Ross is BMF and Hustlin......when i say ALL YOU KNOW i mean those are the only songs you KNOW word for word from Ross, then u have no business debating about whose better between him and Big.
but rappers wit classic albums in yall opinion(rae) have said dtr is a classic, so ill take his opinion over yall, and other rappers have also
lol @ nikkas saying generally speaking big has classics but completely disregarding how that came to be
When he was alive he was just like Ross, one of the hottest MCs out making dope music. He became immortalized after his death by none other than Puffy.
In 96 they were equals. The only thing that separated BIG from Nas was record sales and singles. He was in no shape or form viewed as "better" than Nas during 93-96. I lived it Big Fail.
Like I said, I can drop links to BIG's competitions giving their genuine opinions on son when he was alive and none of it consisted of the words "Classic" or "goat"
Nas on the other hand was being worshipped by his enemies and foes
you seem to be ignoring everything that people have responded to you with.
alot of us have listened to countless albums and mixtapes, some of us have been doing this for 15-25 years. its easy to forget songs by people like rick ross. not a knock on him. hes hot but hes just not THAT guy.
im not a fan of either rapper. in fact, im rooting for MMG(altho thats moreso by default than anything). i never rooted for biggie/bad boy/junior mafia.
the point that dude was making is that you HAVE to be a fan of ross to be able to recite most of these "classic" songs that yall are linking up in here. the term PERSONAL classic was created for albums like DTR & teflon don.
