LAD is a very good but not great album. Alot of filler & R&B fukkery on their breh. The tracks that go really go though.

Trackwise Ross has more combined heat just because of sheer amount of material he's been able to release.

It's better than every single Ross album.

Both these nikkas overated lyrically like a mufuka....but this is stupid as fuk and suprising anybody would say ross over biggie...as a rapper nikka is 2 times more interesting to listen to then ross....ross got stale real quick with his repetetive style and generic bars....sum nikka just posted a long list of ross songs that won't be remembered 10 yrs from now that matter of fact if u not a ross stan u ain't gon remember them shyts now outside a few....with that said I give Puff most of the the credit for Biggies catalogue bcuz of the production and use of sampling a lot of hot undeniable songs got recorded....u could argue Ross is the better artist, biggie twice the rapper....biggie would be nuthin without puff....ross would be nuthiin without his instrumentals:manny:

Body of work wise Biggies top 10 classic songs Ross ain't close to matchin up...havin more "solid" records to ya name don't mean sh1t....how the fuk Lil Wayne ain't better then biggie too if that's the case?he got more "solid" records then biggie just off being able to record more songs:laugh:...only bcuz he lived to record more songs.

The disrespect in here is fukkin crazy, I like Rick Ross and he's doing his thing right now but let's be reality Biggie had more impact in his 3 years of fame than most rappers Ross included have had in their whole careers. Big birthed Ross's style in many ways, and honestly Big's music has way more staying power. Ready to Die is a 17 year old album and it still sounds fresh. Now Ross has a bigger body of work clearly but none of it is at Biggies level.

Off topic but Ross don't even have a better body of work then Beanie Sigel...personally I think Beans body of work better then both these nikkas and a way better rapper... but let's be honest he don't get nearly the accolades or have the impact of biggie...but ross ain't got that over beans...nikkas laughed when I said this same shyt about beans, but they calm today and agreein over ross? Nikkas must be ross stans, desperate,or just tired of debatin and will agree wit anything nowadays

Beans has a semi shaky discography. I think Ross has made more "praised" albums than Beans. But I don't care about that. I'd take Beans' output over Ross' any day. I actually like Beans while I simply tolerate Ross.

why does it have to be "disrespectful" to think Rapper A>>>Rapper B???

Lets say u were 15 years old when Biggie died. He was ur favorite rapper at the time, u had memorized every verse from R2D and u copped LAD as soon as it dropped.....

Fast forward to 2006 and ur about 23/24 years old and here comes Ross with POM :ehh:

then comes Trilla :ohhh:

then comes DTR :jawalrus:

then Teflon Don :obama:

Rich Forever :win:

Point being I WAS THERE when Biggie was alive. I was a fan then just like I am now which is why i have no issue saying Ross>>>Biggie because in my eyes he is. Y'all can keep trying to act like Biggie was some kinda super hero but he wasn't. Ross has put in the work to justify the comparison. You don't have to like Ross but lets not pretend like Biggie was light years ahead of Ross because he wasn't

The praise comes from Ross bein a masterful industry nikka....not knockin em cuz we've all witnesses nikkas with way more talent com and and go legacys forgotten all bcuz they wuznt industry nikkas and didn't know how to be a politician in this game,so career wise that's what's smart to be that...he great at aligning himself with the right people to stay visible at all times...better then Jay,bcuz jay only gon fuk wit u once u hot...ross fuk wit u once he see u gettin warm.

Beans wuz always pegged as the background nikka and truly had no star power and wuz too street...and is opposite of a industry nikka which is why he gets no credit for shyt really...2 classics,a classic mixtape, and his last mixtape wuz heat too...dude delivered a classic success with Bcoming...everybody had that album w/no industry and media push...ross gon have the red carpet w diddy in charge of his campaign

The point is. Ross isn't even fit to do Biggies laundry.

I can say stupid shyt like wiz Khalifa is better than snoop dogg but it doesn't make it worth a shyt.

Lyrically Ross is not close to Big whatsoever. Also in terms of classic songs I don't think he's touching him.

If you've heard one Rick Ross song, you've heard about 100 of 'em, so no.

I can't believe I'm co-signing NotSoft but he's right: if you're judgin' this based on quantity or some "Biggie only had two albums so Ross MUST be better", then I guess anybody with hundreds of aight songs is better than Biggie. But we know that's not true. If it was, no one would even be making this comparison.

Ross' catalog is definitely over Biggie's but only because he only put out two albums. Biggie dying is the reason he can never go in my top 10. Too many rappers who have put out incredible albums since he died for me to be trying to make a case for his one classic album and alright follow up. His influence is felt but no way can I put his catalog over Ross.

Now as a lyricist, as a ghostwriter, flow wise and everything else...Biggie does all of that better than Ross.

Summed up my thoughts exactly

i hate when these threads come up.

Big released 2 albums, was in rap for 2 & a half years & died at 24 yet no one can ever be compared to him ever :aicmon:

if nikkas weren't so stupid they'd see making Pac/Big into some sort of hip hop deities is part of the reason why we're still yearning to find artists to fill their void in 2012. we put those two too high up on the pedestal.
